Scope and Sequence Chart - Modified version of PEBD 5, incorporating exercises in oral language, writing, comprehension, grammar and spelling and vocabulary development. (ongoing) Modified Scope and Sequence Chart PEBD 6. Writing activities every second week, related to the Units of work and incorporating different text types, ie picture compositions, letters, posters, leaflets and diaries. Initially support students in the writing process, leading them to become more independent writers. (ongoing) PEBD activities and teacher created activities that assist in developing the students' skills and confidence in using grammar conventions, pronouns, conjunctions, completing cloze passages and understanding text and responding to text. (weekly class and homework tasks) Incorporating: - Silent Reading - SHARE - Book Club - Weekly Library visits.

TARGET
1. To improve the students' skills in all four areas of English, ie Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. To focus on and develop the writing skills of the students. To develop grammar and comprehension skills that will assist and prepare the students for PSR. To provide the students with access to books in English and develop a positive reading habit. To achieve the following targets: 5A - 65% pass 5B - 65% pass 5C - 65% pass
