Tykwer, is an action film about some conspiracy which happen nowadays in the real world. The film is 118 minutes length and first release on 13 February 2009 (17 April 2009 in Indonesia). The films story is about a big greedy bank wanting to have as much power as it can in this global economy. The main character is Louis Salinger (Clive Owen), an Interpol agent working in France and he attempts to implicate some conspiracy in a megabanking firm. He soon joins Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts), an American FBI. Things liven up when a colleague of Eleanors gets murdered in Germany. The man had just talked to a high ranking official in the IBBC, who was willing to spread information on his company to others. Louis sees the death occur and wants to solve it. The murder leads the pair to a weapons manufacturer in Italy. Before they can get too much out of him, he is murdered while delivering a speech. So they try to find the murderer who killed him, finally they can find the murderer, but its difficult to make him speak up, because there are some guys who will kill them if the murderer speak the details. Then the story end with the owner of the bank gets killed by another friend of Louis, who is in the same bussiness as the owner. This film is a thinking mans thriller which doesnt have too many on gunplay and explosions but has many ideas, procedures and investigations which could easily frustrate some, while thrilling others. I think this film is good enough, serve some mysteries and investigations, and also it give us some views of major city in the world such as Berlin, Milan, New York and Istanbul. All in all, The International is a film that gives action, conspiracy, and investigations. And give pleasant to whom like a drama-action film.
