Foundation layer made of quarry stone The executaion of foundation layer made of quarry stone dim 63-90 mm also called rassel, requires the following operations: The dry compaction of the quarry stone until the optimal level of compactness this is done using special hammers having weight of 60 kN. After that the operation Is continued with vibrated compaction of 100-140 kN Filling the quarried stone with gravel having dim 16-25 mm, which is compacted and spread successively on the whole surfaces. The clogging of the sand layer followed by the corresponding compaction. The covering with a protection layer made of grainy sand, in the case when the superior layer is not spread In the case when the superior layer is not made of concrete it is not required the renewal and protection of the quarry stone layer.

Foundation layers from heavy stone blockage It demands the following operations: Manual spreading of the heavy stone blockage over of ballast or sand layer. The stone are placed: - with a large bases downwards -with small spaces between them -with joint as closed as possible -with larger width perpendicular over the road axes

- filling of the gaps between stones with quarry stone, for a better uniformity. - the light compaction of the blockage in the same time with placement of sand, ballast or quarry stone in gaps using brushes. - final compactions and surface correction
