HISTORY OF HYATT

The Hyatt Hotels Corporation was born upon purchase of Hyatt House, a hotel near Los Angeles Airport, by Jay Prtizker, on September 27th 1957. The hotel was owned by Hyatt van Dehn. In 1967, Hyatt opened up their first hotel in Atlanta, The Hyatt Regency. The hotel was remarkably different in the respect that it had a large central atrium. This hotel ushered in a new era in hotel design. Hyatt opened its first international hotel- Hyatt Regency, Hong Kong in 1969. Until 2004, Hyatt had two companies-However , after 2004, these companies merged to form Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which looks after all the various Hyatt properties the world over. As of September 2012, Hyatt owns 488 properties worldwide. The Headquarters of Hyatt are in Chicago. Currently, Mr. Mark S. Hoplamazian is the President and CEO of Global Hyatt Corporation, while Mr. Thomas Pritzker is the Executive Chairman.

SOMA

A palette of Indian food and art, Soma's modern interiors, bold artwork and contemporary furnishings conspire to create a unique concept for the restaurant. The tandoor is at the heart of Soma's cuisine, which is simple and delicious, offering a fantastic array of flavours. GOURMET STORE

The Gourmet Store features a large selection of gourmet delicatessen items such as cheeses, cold cuts, home-made salads, meats and made-to-order sandwiches, as well as coffee, an array of teas, smoothies and milkshakes, which are available to take away or be consumed in the Gourmet Store.
