• You will be divided into small groups by
your teacher.
• You and your partners are responsible
for solving several math problems
involving different area codes.
• You will use three digit subtraction,
addition, and multiplication skills to
solve these problems.
• Materials will be provided by your

Ready to Begin?
§ Do you have all the materials you need to
begin? If yes continue reading, if not raise
your hand and tell your teacher what you
need.
§ Each slide will contain a problem. You will
use the maps, provided by your teacher,
or the internet to find the area codes
indicated by state or region names.
§ Then solve the math problems using
subtraction, addition, or multiplication.
Record your answers on a separate piece
of paper. Be sure to label them correctly.
