Recommendations

1. Organizational Plan

The teacher has provided both individual activity and group activity

The organizational plan is very effective because you can see the pupils are active

The flexibility of the classroom organizational plan should be maintained by the teacher and the pupils

By giving an allotted time for the task to be performed the teacher makes sure that the students will give their 100% attention

Keep on following the schedule to perform the task properly

It is important to establish a standard routine for everyone to follow

Make sure that the routines are followed properly

In what area of classroom management was the teacher most effective? Which of the supportive measures were effective? Why? All of the supportive measures observed were effective except for some issues with discipline which in my opinion are just naturally given that the observed students were just minors. In what area of classroom management was the teacher least effective? Which supportive measures were not effective? Why? It cannot be said that the teacher is less effective when it comes to discipline, there may be some issues with it but it should be considered that the students are minors and are prone to disciplinary issues. Suggest more effective ways for your answer in number 2. I think it is normal that you cant follow all the guidelines in classroom management when it comes to the actualization of the activity. Sometimes teachers have to give a lot of time to emphasize the topic to the pupils.

10 REFLECTIONS Describe at least 3-5 characteristics of a teacher who can establish a well-managed classroom.

The teacher should be organized, strict but fair and dedicated to the teaching profession to be able to establish a well-managed classroom. What characteristics do you have at present that can make you an effective classroom manager? Elaborate how these characteristics can help you. At present I can claim that my characteristics are being organized and fair. By being organized I can easily assign tasks to myself and my would be pupils. Fairness is a trait that a teacher should always have, for without it no pupils will respect him even if they fear him. What characteristics do you have at present that can hamper you from becoming an effective classroom manager? How can you overcome these characteristics?

Quarry, farm ( rice, vegetables and onions ) and construction materials.Community Assistance/Service Given by the School

The school helps in keeping the vicinity clean always. They also join whatever activity the community comes up with. 12 ANALYSIS Suggest new ways by which the school can creatively use resources of the community. If there are vacant lots near the school they can ask the owner to let the school make a flower/vegetable garden in it. In that way the community benefits from whatever produce the garden can make and also keep the place clean. How can the school address the issues/concerns and problems of the community? The school can be an important help to any problem the community is facing thru information drive. They can also coordinate with the present community officers and ask them in what way they can be of help.

What possible linkages can the community and the school have?

The community could offer scholarships to poor but deserving students who cannot afford to go to school. 13 REFLECTIONS How did you feel while you were going around the community? What things did you learn that you might have taken for granted before? I have learned that the community and the school are inter-related because whenever there is an activity in the community the school always participates in those activities such as tree planting, cleanup drive, beautification projects, etc. Same also for the school, whenever they need some helping hand in the form of money or labor the community tries its best to help. As a future teacher, what do you think will be your role in the community?

As a future teacher, I will serve the community by being a good example to them. Teach my students the proper values and how to help the community in their own little way. How will you encourage more community participation among teachers and students?

By volunteering everytime the community is doing a worthwhile project such as tree planting, clean-up drive, beautification projects, etc. 14 EPISODE 4: THE GLOBAL TEACHER
