About the series

Grey's Anatomy is an American medical drama television series created by Shonda Rhimes. Grey's Anatomy is an ABC Studios production.

The series introduces us in everyday life team of trainees and their tutors from Seattle Grace Hospital. Grey's Anatomy tells the story of five resident doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital: Meredith Grey, Izzie Stevens, George O'Malley, Alex Karev and Cristina Yang.

It's a series that makes you go beyond the action itself and see the real theme of the film: the relationship between people, real connections that form a collective compromise you accept, love, hate, fight for life, dedication and passion you put in when you do what you like.

Title of the series

The title Grey's Anatomy was devised as a play on words: a reference to both Henry Gray's medical textbook Gray's Anatomy, and character Meredith Grey.

Seattle Grace Hospital (SGH) is the central location where Grey's Anatomy is set.
