Instructor:MissNicoleRoberson CourseOverview: Thiscourseisdesignedtodevelopandstrengthenyourskillsincriticallyreading,writing, listening,andspeaking.Thiswillhappenthroughtheanalysisofmanytexts:articles, poems,shortstories,novels,videos,music,andresearch.Byanalyzingthesetexts,youwill notonlystrengthenyouracademicskills,butalsofacilitateyourpersonaldevelopmentas anindividualthinker.Youwillbereadingmaterialsthatmakeyouquestion,validate,and clarifyyourperspectives.Shouldanyparentsquestionthetextsortopicswediscussinclass, pleasecontactmerightaway.Ichoosealltextsandthemeswithanintendedpurpose.A readinglistwillbeprovidedinclass.
