ELECTION POLICY

I. RATIONALE: This policy will serve as guide in the conduct of election Board of Directors and other officers of the cooperative.

II. RULES AND PROCEDURE: A. QUALIFICATION OF VOTERS: 1. Has paid the membership fee and the value of the minimum shares required for membership; 2. Not delinquent in the payment of his share capital subscriptions and other account or obligations; 3. Has not violated any provision of the cooperative by-laws, the terms and conditions of the subscriptions agreement; and the decisions, guidelines, rules and regulation promulgated by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly; 4. Has completed the continuing education program prescribed by the Board of Directors; 5. Participates in the affairs of the cooperative and patronizes its business in accordance with cooperative policies and guidelines; 6. Complies with all obligations, duties and undertaking of membership. Failure of the member to meet any of the above qualifications shall mean loss of right to vote, after notice and hearing, as declared by the Board of Directors.

B. QUALIFICATION OF CANDIDATES FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS: No member shall be elected or to continue as such of the Board of Directors unless he is a member entitled to vote and has the following qualifications: 1. Has paid the minimum capital requirement; 2. Continuously patronizes the cooperative services; 3. A member in good standing for the last two years; 4. Has completed or has manifested his willingness to complete the required education and training as may be provided by law, rules and regulations and policy approved by the general assembly; and 5. Of good moral character and complies with the other qualifications prescribed in the applicable laws, rules and regulation and relevant issuances by the authority
