Description of Experience: I have quite literally implemented every single project APU professors have asked me to do in my classroom and seen how it works on live students. That alone is one of my greatest strengths, my projects were meant to be and have been used in the classroom. I am now in the third year of using such projects with over 250 of my own Algebra 1 students, 80 Geometry students and 40 AVID students and 100 AP Stats students. I am now also extending my education technology to other teachers Algebra 1 students t hrough an enrichment program where I take the highest Algebra 1 students from multiple classrooms into the computer lab to do computer based enrichment projects which includes online practice work and of course use of projects I personally created at APU. I spent the past 3 years promoting my skills to both admin and other teachers and have become known as a leader in technology. I was chosen to represent CHS for the ARRA-

EETT-C grant, which was written to infuse technology into the Algebra 1 curriculum. Each middle school and High school site had to chose 1 teacher from the Math Dept. to be a part of the grant. I spent 1 year training and collaborating with the other selected teachers to learn how to implement and employ doc cameras, electronic writing tablets, student response clickers into how we teach. We all were also given site licenses for an online Algebra program called ALEKS and asked to integrate that into our curriculum and assessment. I spent 2 years taking multiple periods of Algebra 1 students to the computer lab for online ALEKS program. I tracked students progress online by time and topic learned and integrated online assessments that I personally created using the program software that is connected to our State adopted textbook. I did all of the above successfully and in fact was the only school in the district that asked for and received double the amount of site licenses so I could get more students involved. My name and advancements were included in our site WASC regarding Algebra 1. The technology and ALEKS online component for my Algebra classes were acknowledged by the WASC committee report and I was chosen to be a part of the newly constructed Algebra team charged with getting more students proficient and passing Algebra 1. This year I continued implementing technology driven curriculum not only for my students and teacher team at my school. My students use netbooks regularly in class as well to access the curriculum and work on ALEKS. I also had a smartboard installed in my classroom and am delivering lesson now using SMART Technology. I have created a complete Algebra 1 website moralesmathematics.weebly.com for teachers, students and parents to access and learn the curriculum. Additionally I am on the newly formed District Technology committee charged with the task of making technology decisions district wide. I am also a general volunteer for ISTE where I serve in a variety of individual or group capacities to support organizational goals and initiatives including submitting manuscript to Learning and Leading with Technology (L&L), participating in an ISTE input group, serving on an ISTE committee, or providing expertise in a particular subject matter area. I in the process of completing Leading Edge Certification for online teaching and am part of a cohort of teachers and curriculum developers from Riverside USD, Palm Springs USD, Corona/ Norco USD and Temecula USD working on meeting the iNacol standards for online courses using the common core for Algebra 1 to be used for online and virtual schools in the County. I am very excited the direction my Masters Degree in Educational Technology and Learning Degree is taking me. My goal is to continue to connect with teams of teachers and students and move forward in leading and learning in Educational Technology in conjunction with common core standards for 21st Century learners and educators.
