After each lesson we asked the children to write about something they had learned or wanted to learn to help our planning through formative assessment. Week 1 Orange post-its Alex Barney Harrison Isaac James Jaya Jasmine Kezia Lex Lily Mia How do you draw a 10 sided shape? I would like to learn more on the writing activity. How do you draw a circle or a curve? How do you draw a circle? I learnt to draw a square. I didnt know most of it and I found it VERY VERY FUN! I never knew you could have a conversation with a computer. I have learnt how to program a turtle thing just by typing. I learnt about lots of things but my favourite thing was learning about the turtle. I have learnt how to use small basic and how to give the computer turtle (instructions) to make a shape. How do you draw a circle? I have learnt more about degrees. I would like to know how you draw a square, make the line disappear, make it move somewhere else and draw a rectangle. How do you move the turtle but no line. Ive learnt there is such a thing. How do you get the computer to say stuff that we can hear.

EPIC, gets better every week!!! How could I draw a star on my own? I liked controlling the turtle round the maze! How do you / can you make a sound? How do you make a 7 sided shape? I learnt how to make the turtle do a circle. Can you make a 14 sided shape? How do you make a number with the turtle like the number 9? Ive learned lots and I really like it, how do you get the computer to talk?

Week 3- Pink post-its Alex James Mia Jaya Jasmine Isaac Kezia Barney Harrison Lily Lex It was really fun !!!!!! I would like to make a weebly website and put all my small basic things on it. (Im really enjoying it) Ill try and draw the Olympic rings at home! THANKS! Ive learnt lots and enjoyed it lots. I cant wait until next term. It was really fun doing the (Olympic) rings, how do you make an oval. I was very happy when I started my Olympic rings but then when I got to the black one it all went wrong. I realy really like it but I wish I could have got the rings right,thanks. Today I learned how to make the turtle do the Olympic rings! And I managed to do it. Im extremely happy and I really want to know how to make an oval. EPIC How do you make speech bubbles and sprites? How do you draw a stick man? When we were programming to make the Olympic rings, how do you move then make another circle if you copied and pasted it Can you fit more than 100 circles in small basic ?

Week 4- Mustard post-its Alex James Mia Jaya Jasmine Isaac Kezia Barney Harrison Lily Lex I really enjoyed doing this activity and would like to do another one. I loved filming and wonder if I could be famous because of it. I enjoyed everything today. Can we play games next week? How do you make a cloud? How do you make the turtle do an oval? I loved filming the stuff about Small Basic. How do you make a wiggly line? I enjoyed drawing the maze. How do you post video on you tube? If you write a letter can you change its font? Whos the best at Small Basic out of you guys?

I really enjoyed some of the activities and I also learnt how to do screen-casting I will miss you, I enjoyed making animations. I have really enjoyed it, my favourite parts were the maze and animating, It was EPIC. Thank you for teaching me about Small Basic. It was EPIC (smiley face) I love Small Basic (smiley face) its really taught me a lot. My favourite bit was definitely the screen-casting. I am sad it is the last time to do it (sad face) It was awesome I liked everything. The teaching was epic! It was awesome. I learnt so much and enjoyed it ten out of ten! Missing post-it I would like to find out how to make a sound with your turtle I have really enjoyed Small Basic it is really fun and a bit hard. Thank you! I have learned lots, I want to do it again.
