It will take you at least 2 hours to complete the shipment process. Documents required: Valid health certicate issued within 10 days of entering US. Valid anti-rabies vaccination certicate. Other import documents e.g. country import license or permits. We put a disposable pet sheet in the bottom of the carrierand water in a water bottle ( which had been previously introduced to pet) made for cages, attached to the carrier.Include food also. You need a driver if you need to bring your pet from pet hostel to AAT. NOTE: I am working out how to take my cat in cabin with me from Shanghai. This should also be a lot more economical. Transporting your pets out of China

Relocating Pets from Shenzhen /Hong Kong to the USA. USD $1200.00

Make sure you have had your pet vaccinated against rabies and keep the ofcial, stamped vaccination document. Keep a good record of all other vaccinations as well. Make sure it is in English as well as Chinese. Note: Local vet issued health certicate is not valid. It MUST come from China Customs with an export permit. 2.Take your pets photo. Size must be 2 x2 inches (5x5cm) inches (2). Color, no background. Pets photo must show the whole body including the tail. You will need 4 (cost RMB 20.00) 3. Apply to AFCD (Agriculture,Fisheries and Conservation Department) for the HK transit permit (AF301). Ticket from HK to Newark cost: Approx. HKG $6000.00 (USD $ 800.00) 2. Purchase an IATA approved crate per pet available in Hong Kong for HKD 600.00 or bring from USA. 5. Border Crossing Arrangements 1. Arrange border crossing with AFCD Phone numbers on website. This building is located right next to a small police ofce which is in front of the post ofce. The ofce is on the ground oor of an old apartment building, a 15 min drive from Sea world. You need your passport, pet photo, vaccination booklet, your pet with a secure carrier and 3RMB for the certicate fee. They will check your pets body temperature and your passport. They will ask for your departure date, your address and phone number. They will then give you the provisional health certicate Note: They do not speak English. GO EARLY. This place will be closed for lunch from 12:00 - 2:00pm so get there before 10:30 am. 2. Then go to CHINA CUSTOMS The address is: (Linhai Road, Shekou, Nanshan District Merchants Maritime Center) (5min drive from Shekou Ferry port) You need your pet in its carrier, passport, passport copy (if you have 2 pets, you need 2 copies), pet photo, vaccination booklet, and provisional health certicate. Go to Room 203 with your pet, and ask them to issue Health Certicate() and the Export Permit (). They do not speak English. They will take your pet out from the carrier, and show your pet to the ofcer. They will ask your departure date and where you are moving to. They will also check your China visa on your passport. It will take 5 working days to get the health certicate and the export permit. (Pet moving broker at china custom will give you a call when the documents are ready. You pay 450RMB when you pick up the certicate.) Note: You can have 2 pets with one passport. There are no taxis around here. Therefore you need a driver and someone who speaks Chinese and English!
