First Pilot who notices : Resets Master Caution/Master Warning and Reads The Title of Failure. Remember whatever the nature of the emergency / abnormality is: a) AVIATE b) NAVIGATE c) COMMUNICATE [MAYDAY OR PAN PAN]have the top priority over everything. When any emergency / abnormality occur, check OVERHEAD PANEL and relevant SYSTEM DISPLAY PAGE first of all. Before going into any ECAM action, OEBs (if applicable) should be referred.(QRH-OEB) Then the crew will continue with the ECAM if theres no relevant OEB. The PNF should not start reading the STATUS before confirmation from the PF. For any priority reason, Status analysis can be postponed by PF(e.g. C/L, ATC communications etc.) In some cases, some other checks or actions may have to be performed, before reading the STATUS: a) In case of failure at takeoff, the AFTER TAKEOFF/CLIMB C/L has to be performed,(QRHNCL.) b) Computer resets may be considered. (QRH 80) c) Temporary revisions should be referred if there is any. (YELLOW PAGES) d) ENGINE RELIGHT (in flight) paper checklist to be performed if necessary. (QRH 70.) e) After then continue STATUS(PNF reads all status) After ECAM ACTIONS COMPLETE;

The following items should considered when selecting an airport for landing: (1) weather conditions (VMC preferred) (2) enroute time (3) length of runway available (longest possible runway preferred, wind permitting) (4) emergency services available (5) flight crew familiarity (6) other factors dictated by the specific situation
