motor coupling

measure face motor coupling since pump is static set dial from motor to pump coupling measure distance from motor dial leg center to pump coupling center 2 measure distance from motor dial leg center to motor inboard foot bolt center 3 measure distance from inboard foot bolt center to outboard foot bolt center 4 treat pump coupling like looking at a watch mark 12 ,3,6,9 oclock position zero set 12 oclock of pump coupling turn pump shaft clock wise or anticlockise 90 degree, note turn clockwise position 3 oclock, anti, 9 0clock put the reading at appropriate position,do all position on pump coupling position the dial stand on pump side to measure motor coupling take all readings for motor coupling, remember to look the coupling like a watch,12,3,6,9 oclock horizontal values only, 3.9 for both couplings 12 12

motor

let's say pump -5 and +13, motor +7 and -11

using one dial pump offset -5+13=+8, motor +7-11=-4

move anti clockwise top view ,take pump centroid as datum ,we align motor to pump . dial plunger tip span dia=2xradius of dial plunger tip span=A pump shaft + motor left . + position if angular pump+8/2 position if no angular, motor is square to pump 4 motor -4 /2 -2 scale dial offset 1 sq =1 notch project vertical 1st leg until it cross dotted line project vertical 2nd leg until it cross dotted line move clockwise to compensate horizontal angular

I notch = dial gauge scale
