Dear Evelien,

Jan Martinus Stalmans A few months ago, totally out of the blue, I recieved a Facebook friendship request from
Innovator / Designer
the Modular Company. As I am looking looking for a new challenge I found out that

B Antwerp 1985 Catwalk. I just finished some big projects and her I am, applying for Modular.

I consider myself as a selfmade educated designer. I’ve been fascinated by products and
services for a very long time. I learned the basics of design at the Higher Instutute of
Product Development but most experiences come from external projects, workshops &
seminars. I’m a very dedicated person who bases his work on profound research and a
great sense of empathy. I’m interested and documented on many design, marketing &
innovation domains, I’m a teamplayer, I love to interact with people, I’m always up for
some new challenges and I never quit playing.

Actually I’m looking for a new playground, new interesting people to work with and gain
deep experiences on a specific design domain. I do have some experience on Lighting
Design. I’ve worked as a designer at ADB siemens, concepting a new generation of
Aviation Lighting,

I find my inspiriation in Nature, Music and at Sea. As I grew up in a green environment

I’ve a strong relationship with nature. I love to play and listen to Music. I’ve been
mastering the Didgeridoo for 12 years now and many other native instruments. But good
design is born out of emptyness, clearness and I do manage to find it at Sea, sailing the
European waters.

I attached my CV and Portfolio to this Application. It shows you what I’m capable of, not
what I’ve accomplished so far. Most work I’ve done last months is confidential and I’m
not allowed to publish it anyhow, but i do love to talk about it. I hope I make a fair chance
and I would like to hear from you soon.
