FIRST DRAFT

HITHER FADE IN: EXT. SASHAS HOUSE -- NIGHT

We see the well-lit converted farmhouse with land and trees surrounding it. SASHA WHIT, a woman in her early twenties, stands on the elegant wrap-around porch watching the large, German shepherd sniff around the front yard. Faint voices can be heard beyond the trees from the distant house next door. The dog, OGUN, lifts his head and stares at the trees. He growls lowly. Ogun--no. SASHA Come on, let's go.

Ogun stares at the trees a moment longer then turns and runs for the porch. He greets Sasha happily and trots into the house. Sasha stares in the direction of the neighbor's house beyond the trees. SASHA Not another wild party. She shakes her head and enters the house. EXT. KALES HOUSE -- NIGHT

We see two boys and two girls in their early twenties standing on the porch with bottles of beer in their hands. They are APRIL, KRISTIN, MITCH, AND KALE, who's parents own the house. Mitch removes a small bag with white powder and dangles it. MITCH So when's the party going to start rocking? KALE Put that away! Mitch replaces the bag with a look of disappointment. KALE That's all we need is for Stone to see that. He'll kill me. MITCH What's the point of your parents going away for a week over college break if you can't party?

APRIL We should go to my house. At least I don't have some sadistic bodyguard lurking over my house. MITCH Yeah, man. We're not going to have any fun as long as Stone's not stoned. KRISTIN I think he's kinda cute in that older, dangerous sort of way. MITCH See if you get any tonight-KALE I have an idea. We'll just get rid of Stone the same way we used to get rid of the butler in high school. MITCH Up to old tricks? This could be fun. I miss the days of tormenting nerds. APRIL You guys never grow-up. just go to my house. Let's

KALE But this will be so much more fun. I have a plan. INT. LOUNGE

Kale, April, and Kristin hang out in the lounge drinking and laughing about old times. The lights suddenly go out. April screams with surprise then laughs. Only a moment passes before a man in his early thirties, HOLTEN STONE, appears in the doorway holding a flashlight. STONE I'm going to check the fuse box in the basement. KALE Hey, while you're down there, Stone, bring the lady's a bottle of wine. Stone appears irritated by the entire situation. He doesn't respond then disappears from the doorway. April giggles as Kale pulls her onto his lap and nibbles on her neck.

INT.

Stone shines the light on the fuse box. He presses a switch. The lights come back on. We hear the music from upstairs become incredibly loud. Stone looks to the ceiling and shakes his head. STONE Spoiled little bastard. INT. WINE CELLAR

Stone enters the wine cellar. He sets his flashlight down and approaches a rack of wine bottles. The door slowly shuts. Stone removes a bottle and returns to the door. He attempts to open it, but it won't budge. He pounds on the door. STONE Unlock the door--now! There's no response. Stone sets the bottle down and attempts the door again. STONE (low) Little pricks-INT. BILLIARD ROOM

Kale and Mitch laugh while attempting to play pool while staggering around the pool table. April snorts a line of cocaine from the top of the bar. Kristin pours herself another drink. April hands Kristin the rolled bill. Kristin shakes her head. KRISTIN I don't need that stuff to have a good time. APRIL You don't know what you're missing. April stumbles toward the pool table and clings to Mitch. APRIL Aren't you going to ravage me, Mitchy? Mitch looks to Kale and laughs. MITCH Duty calls, man. Give me an hour.

APRIL Knowing Mitch, he'll be back in fifteen. Mitch takes April's hand with a little more force and pulls the giggling girl from the room. Kale sets his pool stick down and approaches Kristin with a broad grin. KALE That just leaves us. KRISTIN That just leaves you. I don't fool around on the first date. Kale pauses before the bar and smiles at her. KALE Don't pretend to be all innocent. You're a friend of April's. That makes you just like her. KRISTIN (glares) April's been dating Mitch all through high school. I've only just met you. KALE Oh, come on, Kristin. Let's not waste a good high on polite conversation. Where's the fun in that? Kristin walks away from the bar with her drink. KRISTIN Give it up, Lover boy. happening. It's not

Kale practically falls off of the bar. He stumbles and approaches her. He laughs with discomfort. KALE Do you know who you're turning down? I'm Kale Rosenburg, half back for Northumberland College. Girl's wait in line to be with me. KRISTIN (picks up a pool stick) Good, then it'll be awhile before you'd get to me.

KALE What's wrong with you? KRISTIN There's nothing wrong with me. I'm just not interested in meaningless sex with you. Kale smiles and walks toward her. She lowers the pool stick and pokes him in the chest with it. KRISTIN (icy) Take the hint, Kale. INT. LOUNGE

Darkness. We hear the heavy moaning of Mitch and April. The light comes on. Mitch scrambles off of April. Both cover themselves. Kale stands in the doorway. KALE This is great! Just great! I score some of my dad's coke for you, and you bring me a frigid bitch. APRIL (dresses) She's not frigid. You just come on to fast. KALE What the hell am I supposed to do all night? MITCH You're really killing the mood, Kale. Go back in there and talk to her. KALE No, man. I'm through talking. I want some action. MITCH (dresses) Just calm down. We'll give her a few more drinks. She'll come around. April rolls her eyes. MITCH (to April) I'll be right back.

Both men leave the room. April groans and quickly dresses. We hear the sound of something roll across the floor. April looks behind her in the direction of the dining room entrance. She looks to the floor. We see a crystal salt shaker roll slightly then become still on the floor. April appears confused. She slowly approaches the dark dining room entrance and picks up the salt shaker. She looks to the darkness. Kristin? INT. APRIL Is that you?

Kale plays a round of pool by himself. He glares toward Mitch and Kristin at the bar every few seconds. Mitch plays with his bottle of beer then studies Kristin. What's wrong? Kale? MITCH Don't you like

KRISTIN He's full of himself. Was that the only reason you guys brought me here--to service him? MITCH Oh, come on. You wanted to have a good time. Kale's the king of good times. What if I gave you fifty dollars? KRISTIN What? What do you think I am? Where's April? I'm going home. Kristin storms from the room. Kale glares at Mitch from the pool table and casts his stick down. KALE Nice job. Even I knew that was a mistake! MITCH I'll take care of it.

KALE No--I'll take care of it. Kale leaves the room. INT. LOUNGE

Kale enters the well-lit lounge. We see April's shoes still on the floor. Kale frowns and leaves the lounge. INT. BILLIARD ROOM

Mitch sits at the bar and drinks another beer. MITCH Should've gone back to April's when we had the chance. Mitch stands and finishes his beer. He approaches the billiard room doorway and enters the hall. INT. LOUNGE

Mitch enters the lounge and looks around with a dumbfounded expression. April? MITCH Where'd you go?

Mitch sits on the sofa and puts on his shoes. We see him from behind as someone approaches. Close-up of Mitch's face. He turns and looks behind him. INT. BEDROOM

Darkness. We see Kristin standing in the bedroom doorway with the light from the hallway behind her. KRISTIN April? She feels the wall for a light switch. The light comes on. We see the elegant bedroom. Kristin frowns. KRISTIN Damn it, April. Where are you? Kale appears in the doorway behind her. screams with surprise. KRISTIN Damn it, Kale, you scared me. Kale enters the bedroom. Kristin nervously backs up. April spins and

KALE I wasn't trying to scare you. Kale shuts the bedroom door. KRISTIN Cut it out, Kale. KALE I don't take no for an answer. Kale approaches Kristin and attempts to grab her around the waist. She punches him in the face, tossing him back several steps. Kristin storms for the door. She opens the door and spins to face him. KRISTIN Accepting no would've been less painful. I'm asking Stone to drive me home. Kristin leaves the room, slamming the door behind her. KALE Damn--Stone's going to be pissed. Kale runs after her. INT. HALLWAY/FOYER

Kristin hurries down the stairs with Kale only several feet behind her. She enters the hallway and storms down it. Kale quickly follows. KALE I'm sorry--okay. If you want, I'll drive you home. KRISTIN You're drunk and high. I wouldn't trust you behind the wheel of a car no more than I trust you alone with me. Kale leans against the lounge doorway. KALE Come on--give me a chance here. I'm sorry that I've acted like a jerk. Kristin studies him with little emotion.

KALE Couldn't we start over again? We could play Monopoly or something. KRISTIN (tiny smile) Promise you'll behave yourself? KALE I have to or you might beat me up some more. Both laugh softly. Okay. Kristin smiles. KRISTIN We'll start over.

Kale's suddenly pulled into the lounge by a black, gloved hand. He cries out. Kristin takes two quick steps toward the lounge with a look of concern. KRISTIN Kale? Kale appears in the archway with a hand to his bleeding throat. Kristin cries out. Kale grasps for the doorframe with his free, bloodied hand. He's suddenly pulled back into the lounge, leaving a bloody streak on the doorframe. Kristin screams and runs in the opposite direction toward the kitchen. EXT. SASHA'S HOUSE -- NIGHT

We see the interior lights are on. Ogun can be heard barking. His large head can be seen in the bay window. INT. LIVING ROOM

Ogun stands by the window and barks. Sasha watches him run to the front door and continue to bark a warning, repetitive bark. SASHA Ogun, that's enough barking at deer. Go lay down. Ogun continues to bark. He trots alongside the sofa, almost lies down, and then runs back to the door while barking frantically. Sasha sighs, sets her book down, and joins him at the door. Sasha looks out the screen door. SASHA There's nothing there. She turns and walks back to the sofa. Ogun runs back to her, whines, and then turns and runs for the screen door.

The latch snaps from his front paws harshly striking the door. Sasha turns and sees Ogun run from the house. SASHA Ogun! Sasha runs after him. EXT. KALE'S HOUSE -- EVENING

Ogun runs across the lawn and up to the porch of the house. He sniffs around the porch and front door. Sasha appears from the wooded area and quickly approaches the dog on the porch. She grabs Ogun's collar. SASHA Bad dog! Don't run off on me like that. She's about to pull the dog off of the porch when we hear a faint crash from within the house. Sasha looks to the door and stares a moment. Ogun growls and jumps at the door. SASHA What is it? Ogun continues to growl and scratch at the door. Sasha presses the doorbell. We hear the bell ring. We hear a woman scream from the second floor. It's immediately followed by shattering glass from the window. Sasha opens the door. Ogun bolts inside the house and immediately bounds up the stairs. INT. HALL/FOYER

Sasha enters the house more cautiously and stops in the foyer. We see blood on the floor near the lounge. Sasha immediately springs for the nearby phone and dials the police. We hear Ogun's barking and vicious growls from upstairs. There's a loud crash. SASHA Ogun! The growling continues. Sasha carries the portable phone with her and runs up the stairs. INT. SECOND FLOOR HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS

Sasha slowly enters the hallway and looks around. We hear Ogun growling and scratching from inside a closed room. Sasha quickly opens the door. Ogun bolts from the room and runs down the long hallway to the back stairs. SASHA Shit--

We hear voices on the phone.

She puts the phone to her ear.

SASHA (into phone) Please, we need help at 1401 Mockingham Way. Sasha looks to the blood paw prints on the hall floor. OPERATOR (V.O.) What's your emergency? INT. BEDROOM -- CONTINUOUS

Sasha stands in the bedroom doorway and turns on the light. We see Kristin lying on the floor near the broken window. She's cut badly and bleeding profusely. SASHA Oh, my God--she's been stabbed! Hurry! Sasha casts the phone aside and runs to the still moving Kristin. Sasha kneels along side her where she's propped and looks to the shoulder wound. Sasha enters the dining room and stops in the doorway with a horrified look on her face. We see April lying across the dining room table, butchered like some main entree. Ogun sniffs around the table then runs into the connecting lounge. Sasha is frozen. She spins around and nearly collides with Stone. She screams and backs up several steps while staring at him. He looks past her to the dead girl. STONE Son-of-a-bitch. We need to call the police. SASHA (frightened) They're already on their way. They continue to stare at one another. head. Stone shakes his

STONE Oh, no. Don't look at me like that. I didn't kill her. Take your dog and wait in the foyer. I have to check on the others. Don't touch anything. SASHA There's another girl upstairs. She died shortly after I'd found her. Ogun can be heard barking. Sasha looks to the doorway to the lounge then looks back at Stone with some concern. Stone moves past her and approaches the opening. Stone passes through the opening. Ogun once more growls. Sasha hurries after Stone.

INT.

Blood soaks into the sofa near his head. Ogun approaches Sasha. She leans down to pet her dog. Everything turns black. We hear Ogun growl softly. EXT. PORCH -- NIGHT

We hear Ogun growling. Sasha slowly wakes on the porch with a paramedic kneeling before her. Stone stands on the porch before a police officer. Their conversation appears to be heated. Police lights flash blue and red through the darkness. Ogun is tied to a distant post and continues to growl. Sasha looks to the paramedic with some disorientation. PARAMEDIC Glad you could join us. SASHA Ogun-PARAMEDIC Your dog? He's fine. Just a little concerned for you. SASHA What happened? PARAMEDIC We found you and Mr. Stone on the porch when we arrived. A police detective, NAPER, approaches Sasha. NAPER How are you feeling? SASHA Okay. NAPER Well enough to answer a few questions? Sasha nods. NAPER Can you tell me what happened? Time lapse. Sasha pets Ogun while Detective Naper continues to write in his tablet.

NAPER Did the young lady upstairs say anything? SASHA (considers) She said something like--get Stone. I don't know what she meant. NAPER I see. And where was Mr. Stone when you arrived? SASHA (looks to Stone) The man with the gun? Naper nods. SASHA I didn't see him when I arrived. Ogun was barking pretty loud and ran up the stairs. I followed him right after I made the call. NAPER You won't mind answering more questions later, right? SASHA I'll help in any way I can. Do you know who killed those people? NAPER We have a few theories. We see Stone continuing to argue with an officer about something. Sasha stares at Stone and the officer. Naper looks to Stone then back to Sasha. NAPER Is there something else you'd like to tell us? SASHA It was a pretty terrifying encounter, Detective. Everything is pretty much a blur now. I know you suspect that man, but I'm not so sure. Ogun attacked the person who killed that girl. (MORE)

SASHA (Cont) He cornered that man in the kitchen, but he didn't attack him. I don't think he's the same person from upstairs. How did I get out onto the porch? NAPER Mr. Stone claims to have brought you out here because he thought the killer was still in the house. SASHA Why not just kill me? If he was the killer, why would he leave me as a witness? NAPER Mr. Stone hasn't been charged with anything yet. SASHA But you suspect him? Detective Naper stares at her without comment. SASHA Where was he? NAPER Mr. Stone claims the victims had locked him in the wine cellar. He had to break down the door to escape. That's how he got the cuts on his arm. SASHA Was the door broken? NAPER (nods) Have you ever heard of drugs being sold around this area? SASHA No, never. We live in the country. Everyone knows everyone else--except for here. They just moved in a couple of months ago. Why? NAPER We found cocaine on the bar in the game room. It may be nothing.

STONE (approaches) They were having some sort of party. I could hear the music from the cellar. Kale's father not only hired me to protect the family from unsavory characters, but also to protect Kale from himself. He'd been in rehab before. That's why they locked me downstairs. They didn't want me interrupting their fun. Check their blood for drugs. You'll find it there. NAPER We'll do that, Mr. Stone. If you'd wait with the other officer, I'll speak to you when I'm finished here. STONE No, it's not okay. You're trying to pin this on me. (to Sasha) Did I attempt to harm you in any way? SASHA (to Naper) He had every opportunity. NAPER (hands her a card) I'll be in touch. If you think of anything that you saw or heard, no matter how minor, give me a call. Sasha nods. Detective Naper straightens and guides Stone away. Another officer approaches once Naper has moved away. OFFICER If you're feeling up to it, I'll take you home. SASHA (points) I just live-OFFICER It's best that I drive you home. Reporters will be flocking soon, and we'd like to avoid anyone seeing where you live.

Sasha stares at the officer then glances to Stone's back. She seems to understand. EXT. SASHAS HOUSE/PORCH -- DAY

Sasha sits on the porch with Ogun and a young woman in her early twenties, PIPER CALLIN. Piper appears awe-struck. PIPER That is probably the scariest thing I've ever heard. You are so lucky that man wasn't the killer. SASHA I'm not so sure. The police arrested him last night, after they told me they weren't going to arrest him. I try to review it in my head, but less and less comes back to me. I mean, what if he didn't kill me because there wasn't enough time? PIPER Since I've never been involved in mass murder, I can't really offer much useful advice. But, in most horror movies, the killer's the person you'd least expect. SASHA Then that'd be you. Piper laughs. PIPER I do have a suggestion for you, though. SASHA What's that? PIPER Stop thinking about it. It's over, and they've arrested the killer. It's done. SASHA I'll probably have to testify. Then he'll come after me when he gets out.

Four he's what last

PIPER counts of homicide--nope, not getting out. I know will take your mind off of night.

SASHA (firmly) I'm not going to the reunion. PIPER Don't be such a fud. You're going to kill my entire evening if I have to go without you. SASHA Your fellow classmates were just murdered. How can you possibly continue with the reunion? PIPER We've been planning it nearly a year. You promised you'd help with decorations and pre-reunion clean-up. SASHA That's before I realized they were helping. PIPER They are friends, dear Sasha. SASHA Your friends, not mine. The Trellerton High Brat Pack. They still have a reputation in the high school. PIPER They were a little wild. SASHA They didn't like me, and I didn't care much for them either. PIPER That was five years ago. you dwell on that? Why do

SASHA Because they made my senior year a living hell. PIPER Yeah, they were childish then, but everyone matures.

SASHA They ruined opening night of the play. You know how much that meant to me. And it was all because I wouldn't join their little club. PIPER They've changed, Sasha. SASHA I don't care. PIPER I'm surprised you're still my friend--the way you loathe the others. SASHA You never acted the way they did. PIPER Look. You promised to help clean the old school up. I'm holding you to it. I can't force you to come to the reunion if you don't want to. SASHA I'll help with the school, but you keep them away from me. After last night, I'm feeling a little hostile. EXT. HIGH SCHOOL -- DAY

We see the old high school. It's in a secluded location to the back of town. It's in relatively good shape for its age. INT. GYM

We see several people sweeping and attempting to remove cobwebs from the high gym ceiling. We see Sasha doing some windows further away from the others. The others are GEOFF HAYWARD, STING MILES, TORI BALIN, HARPER RYMAN, DALLAS DALZEIL, and JACKIE TARVER. TORI (to Piper) I hope Mr. Rush isn't coming.

PIPER Mr. Rush? Why would he come? He hated being here when he was being paid. TORI Our senior year, he promised he'd come to our five year reunion to see how much we'd screwed up our lives. PIPER Then you should be happy to have him come. You're a model, after all. TORI I don't have some handsome man on my side. He'll manage to make me look small. PIPER Who cares what he thinks anyway? TORI I was hoping to prove him wrong, but I know he'll turn it around. Jackie attempts to knock down another cobweb with a long dust mop. JACKIE She's been divorced twice with two babies out of wedlock. Old Rush will have a field day with that. TORI (to Jackie) At least I can have a relationship. JACKIE (glares) And what's that supposed to mean? TORI You fucked every guy in school and you're still doing it today. JACKIE You weren't exactly an angel either.

PIPER Okay, guys. Make nice. going to be a long day.

It's Sasha

We hear Ogun barking from outside of the room. approaches the front lobby. JACKIE (mutters) Did she have to bring her dog? PIPER Leave her alone. She was nearly killed last night. Both Tori and Jackie are surprised. JACKIE Mitch and April? Piper nods. INT. LOBBY

Ogun looks out the rows of glass windows along the lobby and barks loudly. Sasha approaches him and looks out as well. We see a man, MR. RUSH, outside the door. He smiles when he sees her. She unlocks the door. SASHA Hush, Ogun. The dog growls under his breath as Rush enters. RUSH Sasha. What a pleasant surprise. SASHA Mr. Rush, good morning. brings you here? What

RUSH Just wanted to see how things were coming. Will everything be ready for tomorrow night? SASHA I couldn't tell you. It's been non-stop verbal catfights since they got together.

RUSH (soft laugh) I'd heard there was some sort of falling out the summer after graduation. But it's good to see you, Sasha. I haven't seen your name around the theaters. SASHA I never rebounded from my last performance. RUSH (frowns) Could kill the little bastards on that score alone. SASHA So what really brings you here? RUSH Just preparing for my sweet revenge. You will be here tomorrow night, won't you? SASHA I'm considering leaving the states just to be further away from it. RUSH Oh, but you must come. The show must go on. It's going to be a memorable night. SASHA I'm afraid I've backed myself into a corner. I said I was bringing a surprise date. The surprise will be that I don't have a date. I wanted to show them that I've made something of myself, but I still live at home, and no job satisfies me. RUSH That's because it's the theater you live for. It's what you really want. What if you came as my date? That would be a surprise. Probably shock them to death. At least they fear me.

SASHA That would be interesting, but anything short of a prince or a duke would bring certain torment. RUSH Reconsider, Sasha. It would be the ultimate slap in the face to them if we appeared together like some conspiring masterminds. You know what they did to us. SASHA (frowns) What should I wear? RUSH Whatever would upset them most. We're going to reclaim that night they stole from us. So, on that note, I'll sneak out so not to spoil the surprise. I'll pick you up at your house. You're still there, right? Sasha nods. Rush smiles and leaves. Sasha watches him a moment longer. Her expression becomes concerned. INT. AUDITORIUM

Sasha enters the dimly lit auditorium and stares at the dusty stage and torn curtains. We're taken back to an earlier time. The auditorium is filled with people. Actors move around the well crafted sets in clothing from the seventeen hundreds. We see Sasha on center stage singing a song to the crowd of student peasants. As she sings about the condition of the town, a poster of Sasha in a towel at the lockers is lowered. There's a gasp from the crowd. Sasha catches a glimpse of it and stops singing. Mr. Rush can be seen in the wings, lunging for the curtains. He immediately pulls them closed. Sasha stares at the dingy stage from the back door. Her expression hardens. She turns and leaves the auditorium. INT. GYM

Geoff and Sting look across the clean gym. Piper and Tori enter from the ladies room with their buckets and scrub brushes.

GEOFF So what about the tables and chairs? PIPER There's a service coming in tomorrow morning. They're bringing the furniture and setting up. The caterers are bringing decorations and putting them up. STING Why didn't we hire someone to clean the place? PIPER That would've cost too much. I donated enough money already. I'd rather do the work myself then pay what they wanted. STING I would've paid. Former PRINCIPAL JENZING enters the gym and looks around. JENZING Looks good so far STING It'd better. It took long enough to clean. TORI Are you coming to our reunion tomorrow night, Mr. Jenzing? JENZING I wouldn't miss it. Candice would've wanted it that way. The five remaining look down with sadness. warmly. JENZING I brought your class trophies to display in the lobby case. There were some old photos stored with them. I thought you might like to display them for the reunion. All right! first. STING I'm putting mine out Jenzing smiles

Sting runs from the gym. Geoff, Harper, Dallas, and Piper follow. Tori remains behind and approaches Jenzing. TORI How have you been? I haven't seen you since--in awhile. JENZING I'm doing better with each passing year. I was hoping you'd dedicate the reunion to Candice and all the other classmates who've passed on. TORI We'd be honored, Mr. Jenzing. INT. LOBBY

The others rummage through three boxes in the main lobby. Sting pulls out a picture of himself in his quarterback uniform. He smiles happily. Dallas removes an old football, runs backward, and shouts. Harper! DALLAS Catch!

Harper runs across the lobby and catches the flying football. Everyone cheers. JACKIE (removes pom poms) Those were the days. the school.

We ruled

Sasha stands nearby and watches the seven sink back into their not so past youth. TORI It wasn't all fun. GEOFF Yeah, there were classes and rules. TORI No, I mean Candice. There's an odd silence among them. saddened. They all appear

STING Why do you suppose she killed herself?

Jenzing appears from the gym. Everyone falls silent and continues through the boxes. Jenzing approaches Sasha and leans against the wall near her with his hands in his pockets. JENZING I wasn't expecting to see you here. You weren't one of the pack. SASHA Piper conned me into helping. Had I known--I guess you can't dwell on the past. JENZING No--I suppose not. I'll see you tomorrow night. Jenzing turns and leaves. Sasha watches him leave. We see the stairway door is partially open. Someone moves past the opening and the door slowly closes. EXT. SCHOOL -- EVENING

It's already getting dark. We see several cars in the front parking lot. Sasha, Ogun, and Piper leave the school building. Piper holds the door open. PIPER Are you sure you won't join us for a quick bite? No, I'm tired. home. SASHA We're going

PIPER I don't think I like the idea of you walking home alone. I'm not alone. SASHA I have Ogun.

PIPER See, it went okay. They were nice to you. Everyone changes. Please, come along tomorrow night. SASHA I'll think about it. PIPER That's almost like yes. I'll see you tomorrow afternoon.

Sasha nods and leaves with Ogun. INT. AUDITORIUM

Piper returns inside.

Jackie walks down the auditorium aisle toward the dimly lit stage. Harper whistles from the back of the stage. JACKIE We're ready to go. What are you doing in here? HARPER Just planting a few memories. He holds up the cardboard poster of Sasha in the towel. JACKIE (humored) Where did you get that? thought Rush burned it.

HARPER He did, but I had the negatives and made another. I also have some 8x10 glossies to tack up around the school. JACKIE Sasha's going to flip, you know? HARPER She's too serious anyway. JACKIE She does have that better than anyone attitude. The little priss is probably still a virgin. HARPER Exactly why I need to find a home for this. JACKIE Aren't you coming to dinner with us? HARPER Maybe I'll meet you there, if I get my work done. JACKIE Suit yourself. We're leaving as soon as I find the others. Turn out the lights before you leave.

Jackie leaves the auditorium. while staring at the poster.

Harper sinks into thought

HARPER Yum. Very tasty, Sasha. Should've gone out with me when I asked. It wouldn't have killed you. We hear a clunk from backstage. and wanders backstage. INT. BACKSTAGE -- CONTINUOUS Harper sets the poster down

Harper walks backstage and looks around the dimly lit area. HARPER Sting? Are you back here? Dallas? He approaches the collected curtain and looks back to the stage. He stares a moment. The curtain moves. Harper notices it and smiles deviously. He pulls the curtain back. HARPER (smiles) Gotcha! His eyes suddenly widen in horror. A knife plunges down. Harper falls against the wall. The bloody knife is pulled back then plunged down again. EXT. BACK ROAD -- EVENING

Sasha and Ogun walk along the darkening back road from town. We see Kale's house approaching in the distance. Sasha eyes the house and slows down. Ogun doesn't appear concerned. They continue toward the house. As they pass, we see the police line surrounding it. All the lights are off within the big, old house. Sasha pauses and stares at he house. We hear the past screams of Kristin from upstairs. Sasha rakes trembling fingers through her hair and stares at the house. We see someone move past a lower window. The curtains fall back into place. Sasha gasps and jumps back a step. SASHA Ogun--come. Ogun hurries after her as she quickly walks down the road toward her house. Ogun suddenly stops and looks toward the woods. He begins to growl. SASHA Come on--

Ogun hurries after her. She practically runs to her driveway. She runs past some shrubs and turns the driveway and collides with someone. Sasha gasps and jumps back. Ogun snarls. Detective Naper smiles with embarrassment. NAPER I didn't mean to startle you. SASHA It doesn't take much these days. Did you need me for something, Detective? NAPER I tried calling a couple of times today, but there was no answer. I thought I'd better check on you to be safe. SASHA My father disconnected the machine. The whole town's been calling--looking for juicy details about the murder. They won't even answer the phone right now. Why check on me? Do you think I'm in some sort of danger? NAPER Well, anytime someone strays into a murderous scene, there's always possible danger. But I don't have anything that suggests you're in any danger. SASHA That's a relief. NAPER I did want to let you know that we had to release Stone. None of the victims were shot, and we couldn't locate the murder weapon. Since he didn't have much time to dispose of the murder weapon, we have no reason to hold him. SASHA Do you still think he did it? NAPER I never said I thought he did.

SASHA You've certainly implied it enough. Supposing he is the killer--am I in any danger? NAPER I would doubt it. You didn't see anything, and he could've killed you if he intended too. But--no point in taking chances. If you happen to see him, give me a call, okay? Sasha nods. away. Detective Naper gets into his car and drives

INT. SASHAS HOUSE/LIVING ROOM -- EVENING Sasha enters the dimly lit house and looks around. Ogun appears upset about something. He begins sniffing around the house. SASHA Mom? Dad? She approaches the coffee table and There's no response. picks up a note.

SASHA (reads) Went to the movies. midnight.

Be back by

Sasha releases the note and looks around. SASHA Ogun? Ogun trots into the room and continues to sniff around while moving frantically. SASHA What's wrong? He continues to sniff around. by the front door and growls. the front door. EXT. PORCH -- CONTINUOUS Stone stares at her through the screen. Sasha lets out a startled gasp. Ogun begins to bark and growl. SASHA What do you want? Sasha follows him. He pauses Sasha eyes her dog then opens

STONE I just want to talk to you for a few minutes. It's important. SASHA Are you armed? STONE Yes, I'm carrying my gun. I didn't kill them. You know I didn't do it. SASHA Toss your gun into the yard, and I'll talk to you on the porch. Stone studies her a moment. He reaches into his jacket. Ogun snarls. He removes his semiautomatic and casually tosses it from the porch. Sasha slowly opens the door. She slips onto the porch with Ogun. Sasha slowly sits on the railing and stares at him. SASHA What do you want to talk about? STONE (joins her) First, understand my position. They want to believe I'm the killer. It's neat and easy to clean. If I ever want to make a living again, I need to clear my name. I need to find out who killed those kids. SASHA What do you want from me? I didn't see anything. The killer was long gone when I reached that girl. The only one who saw anything was Ogun, and he's not talking. STONE You saw more than I did. I tried for an hour to pick the lock in the wine cellar. When I heard that girl scream, I broke down the door. I just got up the steps to the kitchen when your dog cornered me. Sasha stares at him and sinks into thought. We see an image or Kristin gasping Stone. Sasha shakes her head.

SASHA I didn't see anyone before the girl then I ran into you. I don't think I can be much help. I only know that Ogun attacked someone--enough to make them bleed. STONE The doctor testified my injuries were from splintered wood. SASHA The killer must've run out the back door. Between you, me, and Ogun, I doubt he wanted to stick around. STONE Not even a glimpse of someone? Sasha shakes her head. STONE How well did you know Kale? SASHA Hardly at all. They just moved in six months ago. STONE That's around the time his father hired me. Kale was an eighteen-year-old punk who'd been kicked out of every school. When they moved here, to try again, they found a prison-like school to keep him in class, but they needed me to baby-sit after school hours. His father introduced him to Mitch, thinking a college football player would be a good influence. Apparently, Mitch wasn't exactly a saint himself. Kale had enemies from his previous school, but none from his new school. They don't allow much socializing. (paces porch) I think the killer was after one of the other kids. Did you know any of the others?

SASHA I knew Mitch and April. They weren't exactly saints either. But I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill four people just to get even with one of them. STONE I'd bet he was the one they wanted. Who would hate Mitch enough to kill him? Stone stands two feet before her and stares at her. becomes uncomfortable. SASHA Half a dozen band members hated him, but that was all childish pranks--not serious enough to kill. Perhaps it was who ever sold him the drugs, someone from college. Stone sits alongside her on the rail. STONE No, he was a rich boy. he'd owe drug money. I doubt She

Sasha shifts uncomfortably and watches Stone. SASHA I doubt I can offer you any useful information about Mitch. Maybe you should try the Brat Pack. STONE Who? SASHA His high school friends. They had an exclusive click, nicknamed the Brat Pack. All rich kids--mostly jocks and cheerleaders. They weren't worth knowing, but no one ever forgot them. STONE That reunion's tomorrow night, isn't it? I remember Mitch telling Kale about it. Mitch wanted Kale to go as April's date, so he could go. Do you suppose Mitch's friends will go?

SASHA (frowns) I'm almost positive of it. STONE Maybe they'd know something more. Are you going to that reunion? SASHA I don't have any choice. Stone half turns on the railing. Sasha stirs uncomfortably. Stone stares at her a moment with a look of concern. STONE Do I make you nervous? SASHA A little. We didn't meet under the best of conditions. Sasha eyes him then looks away. STONE I hope you're not concerned that I might be a killer. You know I'm not. SASHA I'm almost positive you aren't. STONE I need t get into that reunion. SASHA Oh, no. I'm not taking you to my high school reunion, so you can interrogate the Brat Pack. STONE Just help me get in. No one has to know you let me in. SASHA The front door will be unlocked. If anyone stops you, make up something. You don't need my help. STONE You've never been accused of murder, have you? SASHA Now that's a stupid question. Of course I haven't.

STONE I'm telling you right now, it's not fun having the police examine your life through a magnifying glass. I've been a private detective and a body guard. My record is pretty much tainted with little blemishes. This is my ass on the line. If it were you, you'd be grateful for my help. SASHA I'd really just like to put the whole nightmare behind me. You just won't let me forget it, will you? In your business, you need to be tough. I'm not tough, Mr. Stone--I'm scared. STONE You can be tough and still be scared. Considering--you're handling it quite well. SASHA That's all an illusion. STONE That doesn't matter. else will ever know. is everything. No one Attitude

STONE I'm not sure any women I know would be sitting on the porch with me after what happened. That gun out in the yard really doesn't mean much. SASHA I have my dog. Kinda equalizes the gender gap. STONE But not against a gun Sasha stares at him without expression. STONE You must realize that I'd be carrying a second gun. Sasha attempts to hide her surprise.

STONE Or a third. SASHA I don't know anyone who ever carries one, let along three, so I wouldn't automatically assume it. STONE You survived an entire hour without being harmed. Have I earned your trust? SASHA I didn't really think you'd try to kill me anyway. That doesn't mean I trust you or have any reason to feel less nervous. STONE You're tough. What about tomorrow night? Will you help me? SASHA What do you want me to help you with? I told you how to get in. STONE Help me find Mitch's friends. These Brat Packers. SASHA Meet me in the gym around seven, after dinner. It'll be less obvious. I'll point them out to you. STONE I'm ten years older than everyone there. I might stand out. You may have to give me a cover. SASHA Such as? STONE Tell your date I'm your cousin from out of town, and you didn't think I'd be able to make it. That way I won't spoil your evening for you.

SASHA Don't worry, my evening was spoiled the moment I agreed to attend. STONE Doesn't sound like you have too many fond memories of high school. SASHA No. I was tortured for not becoming a cheerleader. But I did enjoy drama. STONE I was picked on too. I was the shy, quiet kid in class. My tenth your reunion was very satisfying. SASHA There won't be any satisfaction tomorrow night for me. My old drama teacher's escorting me. He's a great guy, but he's nearly fifty. I can't imagine anyone will be too impressed. STONE I can't imagine anyone not being impressed. Wear something slinky. Trust me--nothing else will even matter. SASHA I'm a tom girl. I'm not really good at slinky. STONE (stands) Oh, Cinderella, you need to escape for one evening. Put on those glass slippers--go to the ball. SASHA I gave my fairy godmother the weekend off. I'll have to settle for whatever's in my mother's closet. STONE (rolls his eyes) That should really know 'em dead.

SASHA My mother has some evening dresses. STONE Mother style evening dresses. SASHA She has a very sexy black gown, I'll have you know. It's low cut in the back and has a slit up the one side to here-(starts to point) Pretty high-STONE You'll be the envy of every man there. SASHA That's how my problems started to begin with. STONE What's that? SASHA Nothing. (stands) You want me to help you locate the Brat Pack, so I'd like a favor in return. STONE Anything. SASHA Keep Sting and Harper away from me. They were the biggest pigs in school. I just don't want them anywhere near me. STONE I can handle that. It's what some people pay me for. Want me to rough them up in the parking lot? SASHA No. Just keep them away. I don't care what you have to say to them to chase them away.

STONE I'll need to be discreet. I'm under the magnifying glass right now. Any threats will get me a murder wrap. SASHA I'm sure you'll think of something. Stone looks at his watch and sighs. STONE I'd better go. I have a lot of trouble to get into tomorrow. I really enjoyed talking to you. Maybe another day, we can have a conversation not based on a murder conviction. SASHA Don't forget your gun. Stone smiles in response. He turns to leave, pauses, and turns back to face her. Without warning, he kisses her passionately. Sasha is completely surprised. She braces her hands to his chest then slowly relaxes. A car pulls into the driveway with it's headlights on. Stone pulls away but doesn't release her. He smiles with some embarrassment. STONE Sorry. That was completely necessary. Gotta go. Stone hurries from the porch, grabs his gun, and runs through the yard as her parents get out of the car. Her father, FRANK, and mother, SYLVIA, watch him dart away as they approach. SYLVIA Was that some man kissing you? SASHA Just an old friend. Sasha shifts uncomfortably and touches her lips several times. EXT. BACK ROAD -- DAY Sasha walks out to the mail box and places some letter in the box. We hear some commotion down the road. Sasha slowly walks down the road. We hear Ogun barking from within the house. She only walks fifty yards before being able to see Kale's house. We see several police cars outside of the house. We see Detective Naper on the porch.

He looks up, spots Sasha, and hurries off of the porch. Sasha turns to leave. NAPER Sasha! Wait! Sasha pauses then turns to face him as he hurries toward her. She attempts a smile. SASHA I heard noises. I hadn't realized you were back at the house. NAPER Kale's father came back here this morning. He reported a break-in. Some of the knives from his collection were missing. The killer sometimes returns to the scene of the crime. SASHA You think the killer came back to steal some knives? NAPER They left the valuables, but took the knives. That tells me they have plans for another killing. Sasha appears a little concerned. NAPER I'd like to know more about this Brat Pack Mitch and April were involved in. SASHA Why do you want to know about them? That was five years ago. NAPER Why didn't you tell me you knew Mitch and April? SASHA From high school, but I didn't really know them.

NAPER When we spoke to the high school principal, Mr. Jenzing, he said Mitch and that gang caused a lot of trouble for a lot of people. He said they were horrible to you as well. SASHA They were horrible to anyone who didn't kiss their ass. My problems were mostly with Sting, Jackie, and Harper. The others didn't bother much with me. NAPER Did you hate Mitch and April? SASHA No, I just told you, I barely even knew them. NAPER There's no reason to become defensive, Sasha. I'm not implying-SASHA Yes, you are. In your subtle little way, you're trying to pin this on me. There were more people who hated the Brat Pack than liked them. NAPER Calm down. I'm just asking simple questions here. SASHA I'm sorry, Detective. I don't like the way you play people. NAPER Did you see Stone last night? SASHA What does he have to do with the Brat Pack? NAPER Nothing. We heard he may have been back this way, and I was wondering if you'd seen him.

SASHA He stopped by my house yesterday evening. He asked me what I saw that night. I told him, and he left. NAPER How long was he at your house? SASHA Five-ten minutes maybe. NAPER Did he drive or walk? SASHA I didn't bother to look. If you'll excuse me, I have things to do. Sasha's about to turn and leave when Piper's car slows and pulls alongside the road. Piper gets out with a confused look. PIPER Hey, Sash--what's going on? SASHA Another break-in. NAPER Detective Naper. PIPER Piper Carlin. You didn't tell me he was cute. NAPER Actually, Sasha and I were just having a conversation about your former classmates. PIPER Oh? NAPER What can you tell me about the Brat Pack? PIPER The Brat Pack? Surely you don't think the deaths had anything to do with a club back in high school.

NAPER Club--interesting word choice. I've done my research. The Brat Pack was a rich, exclusive gang. Tell me, Ms. Carlin, what sort of club projects did you and your friends do? PIPER That's not what it was like. just hung out together. We

NAPER Wild parties, orgies, drugs, alcohol, shake down, black mail, and property destruction were what I'd heard from several sources. Four people are dead. There might be a link. Why don't you tell me what you did while in the Pack? PIPER I didn't do any of that, and none of them would've killed Mitch and the others. That was over five years ago, damn it. NAPER I'll take that as a refusal to cooperate. Be available for questioning. I'm not finished with your little club yet. PIPER (to Sasha) Let's go. Sasha leaves without hesitation. EXT. SASHA'S HOUSE -- DAY We see Piper's car pull into the driveway and stop. INT. PIPER'S CAR Piper turns off the car and looks at Sasha, who stares blankly out the side window. PIPER (icy) So that's the nice detective you were telling me about?

SASHA He has a real dual personality going on. What do you suppose he's heard that had him so upset? PIPER Whatever he heard, he heard second hand. SASHA You don't think one of your friends told him something? PIPER No. We swore we'd never tell anyone outside of the pack what we do inside the pack. SASHA No wonder he's suspicious. You make it sound like you were up to no good. PIPER It wasn't like that. It was like a frat house. We didn't steal and beat up people. SASHA Then what did you do? PIPER I can't discuss it. join. You didn't

SASHA I wasn't going to say anything in front of him, but what if he is right? What if someone is out to get the brat pack? PIPER No, they were killed because of drugs. It's cut and dry. SASHA Just think about this, Piper. If someone wants revenge against the brat pack, that includes you too. Sasha gets out of the car. EXT. HIGH SCHOOL -- DAY Tori enters the lobby and looks around.

TORI Piper, I'm here. There's no response. Tori sets her dress on the front table and approaches the gym. She pushes open the door. INT. GYM -- CONTINUOUS We see the elegant tables set up toward the back. The room is beautifully decorated. The band's equipment is already setup. We can hear the caterers chattering from the kitchen not far from the gym. Tori disappears back in the lobby. INT. LOBBY -- CONTINUOUS Tori walks back toward the desk. TORI Guess you didn't need me early to let the caterers in. She looks to the table near her bag. We see a letter. It reads: Tori, caterers arrived early. Went home to change. Please lock the back doors when they're finished unloading. Thanks, Piper. Tori groans and removes a large set of keys from her purse. TORI Wouldn't want any party crashers sneaking in through the back. She walks down the hall. INT. BACK HALL -- CONTINUOUS We see Tori approach the back door near the kitchen. She fumbles through the keys and locks the door. Tori turns and stares at the door that says storage. Tori opens the door. INT. STORAGE -- CONTINUOUS The light comes on in the storage closet. We see shelves of old books and several closed boxes. Tori stands in the doorway and stares inside the room. We see a flash from five years ago. Tori and Dallas kiss passionately against the bookshelves. Present time. Tori shifts uncomfortably and rakes her fingers through her hair. We hear a young woman sobbing. We flash back five years. Tori sits alongside a young girl, CANDICE, while she cries. CANDICE I can't tell my father. can't! I just

TORI Maybe you should consider an abortion. CANDICE I couldn't--I mean, how could I live with myself. My father's going to be so upset. TORI Did you tell the father? CANDICE He denies it's his. He called me all sorts of names. Called me a slut. TORI You're going to have to tell your father or have an abortion, Candice. CANDICE I don't know what to do! Candice hugs her knees to her chest and sobs. Present time. Tori lowers her head and leaves the storage closet. INT. HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS Tori shuts the storage door and wipes the tears from her eyes. She walks along the hallway while looking down at the floor. TORI (softly) I wish I could have made different choices too. We hear a clunk. Tori jumps. Laughter comes from the kitchen. Tori relaxes and continues along the hall. INT. AUDITORIUM -- CONTINUOUS Tori enters the auditorium and sets her bag near the back. She's already changed into her slimming, red evening dress. She looks to the stage and stares. We hear the past voice of Principal Jenzing. We see the past image of him at the podium before the student body. JENZING Our guest speaker today is from the Abuse Prevention Center. A mannequin drops from the ceiling on stage, hung by its neck. The students scream. Jenzing jumps with alarm. Painted on the mannequins t-shirt are the words Died of

Boredom.

The students begin to laugh.

Tori returns to present day and stares at the empty stage. We hear Mr. Rush's voice from the past. We see Tori on stage. Tori faces Mr. Rush. RUSH As long as you hang out with that bunch of high class social rejects, you'll never amount to anything. You have no regard for yourself or your fellow man. TORI (laughs) That's not true, Mr. Rush. I love my fellow man--often. I particularly like giving my fellow man head. Are you game, Mr. Rush? Tori moves against Rush and feels him. Mr. Rush grabs her wrist and holds her back with a look of anger and hostility. RUSH In five years, I'd love to see where you and that rotten bunch of heathens are. The past will come back to haunt you. Now get away from me, before I have you arrested for sexual assault. TORI My version will be better than yours. I'll have your job. We can have you fired. Sasha approaches them from back stage and stands alongside Mr. Rush. SASHA And I'll back any version Mr. Rush wants to give. Tori turns and runs off stage. and sadly looks down. Tori returns to present time

TORI God, you were so right, Mr. Rush. I never should've gotten involved with that bunch. Tori leaves the auditorium. INT. LOBBY -- CONTINUOUS Tori enters the lobby from the auditorium. We can hear the

band practicing fairly loud through the empty gym. Tori walks toward the offices and pauses by the pay phone. She punches several numbers on the phone pad and waits with the receiver to her ear. TORI May I speak to Detective Naper, please? (pause) No. I'll call him back later. Tori hangs up the phone and sighs. We see someone move along the darkness of the back hall near the classrooms. Tori looks, but they're already gone. Mr. Rush? TORI Is that you?

Tori hurries along the hallway and approaches the back classrooms. TORI Mr. Rush? INT. CLASSROOM -- CONTINUOUS Dim lighting. doorway. We see Tori standing in the classroom

TORI Is someone there? We hear a desk move from another room. door. INT. HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS Tori looks to the classroom to the left. slowly opens the door. INT. CLASSROOM -- CONTINUOUS Tori enters the classroom and turns on the light. The room appears empty. We see writing on the chalkboard. Tori looks to the board and approaches it. It reads: Slut! Tori stares at the chalkboard with a confused look. It could have been written many years ago and never erased. Tori slowly backs to the doorway and leaves, shutting the door. INT. HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS Tori walks down the hallway. The sound of her shoes seems to echo loudly. We hear a door open. Tori looks back. The door slowly stops from the room she's just left. Tori appears nervous. She hurries along the hall and looks back. We see someone standing in the dark hallway wearing a grim reaper cloak. Their face is completely in darkness. She approaches and Tori closes the

Tori gasps and runs along the hall toward the lobby. She looks back. There's no one there. Tori slows down and stares a moment longer. TORI I'm losing my mind. She hurries toward the lobby. We see people arriving in the parking lot. It appears to be Piper's car. Tori breathes a sigh of relief. She approaches the door and pushes on it. It's locked. TORI (softly) You dummy. What'd you do with the keys? Your bag. Tori walks away from the lobby and approaches the auditorium. She pushes on the auditorium door. The cloaked figure leaps out of the doorway, grabs her, and drags her toward the janitor's closet. Tori struggles against her attacker, kicking and punching behind her. A hand clutches her throat and squeezes. Tori gasps and attempts to relieve the pressure. She's pulled into the janitor's closet. The door closes. We hear thumping and Tori's scream. We hear a partial scream then silence. EXT. SASHA'S HOUSE -- EVENING We see Sasha's house. It's slowly getting dark. An expensive car pulls in the driveway. Mr. Rush gets out and approaches the house. INT. LIVING ROOM Sasha's father and Ogun stare out the window. looks back with a strange look. FRANK He's got to be as old as me. Sasha's mother fusses with Sasha's hair. Sasha wears the sexy, black evening dress. It's low cut in the front and a long slit rides high up the left side. Sasha has her hair pulled up in a French twist. She looks beautiful. SASHA I told you, Dad. It's not a date. He's just escorting me to the reunion. That's my old drama teacher, Mr. Rush. Her father frowns. Ogun growls. The doorbell rings. Ogun runs to the door, barking loudly. Her father flops on the chair and picks up his paper. Her father

SYLVIA Aren't you going to get that? FRANK What's the point? He's not even a real date. Her mother groans and hurries to the door. father on the cheek. SASHA I'll be home early. Her father smiles gently. FRANK Try to have fun, Darling. EXT. SCHOOL -- EVENING Mr. Rushs car pulls into the nearly crowded parking lot in front of the school. INT. CAR Sasha looks to Mr. Rush as he shuts off the car. SASHA I think we're late. RUSH A dramatic entrance. EXT. SCHOOL -- EVENING Mr. Rush gets out of the car and hurries to her side to open the door. Sasha gets out of the car and stares at the school. Mr. Rush extends his arm to her. She smiles warmly and links onto his arm. SASHA So, what's your evil plan? RUSH Nothing evil. Don't be too disappointed. I just thought it would irritate a few of them to see us arrive together. SASHA Absolutely no foul intentions? RUSH Maybe one or two. They approach the doors. Mr. Jenzing waits by the doors and lets them in with a smile. Sasha kisses her

INT. GYM The gym is filled with classmates and their dates. They're all sitting at their tables as dinner is being served. Sasha and Mr. Rush enter with Mr. Jenzing. They receive several stares. SASHA (mutters) Thanks for putting me on the spot. RUSH If they're staring, it's because of that dress. They find their seats and are immediately served dinner. They're at a table with other former teachers who had shown up. Sasha looks around the room. The remaining brat packers are all seated at one table. None have dates. Harper and Tori's seats remain vacant. During dinner, the brat pack's table is the loudest. Rush looks at the table several times. RUSH (to teachers) It would seem some things never change. At the brat pack table, Piper looks around the gym while the others talk and laugh. PIPER Where do you suppose Tori and Harper are? JACKIE (giggles) Probably getting reacquainted. PIPER I haven't seen either arrive. Tori was supposed to be here before the reunion, but she didn't show. STING You know Tori, she's like a dog in heat. Piper frowns and looks to Sasha's table. The waitress cleans away some dishes. Sting slips his hand under her skirt. The waitress jumps and glares at him. Mr.

STING Something wrong, Sweetheart? The waitress glares, takes the dishes, and hurries away. JACKIE Looks like the class hasn't changed much. Kinda pathetic. STING (to Dallas) Hey, remember the time we tackled the bandos when they played at half time? DALLAS (laughs) Nearly got suspended from the game. STING Coach would never have considered suspending us--we had too much on him. JACKIE (eyes Sasha) Wish we had something on her. Who does she think she is-sitting over there with the teachers? PIPER She happens to be my friend. JACKIE You always did have a little problem with that. What made us tight was not socializing with others outside of our group. STING But that doesn't mean you can't screw them. PIPER Haven't you worn that thing out yet? STING (chuckles) Haven't found a woman who can satisfy me yet. Piper rolls her eyes and looks away.

STING (to Piper) You came close, Piper-babe. DALLAS Where the hell is Harper? He had a master plan for tonight, now he's not even here. GEOFF Maybe I should call him. Geoff removes his cell phone then frowns. GEOFF Lousy signal-(stands) I'll be right back. Geoff leaves the room. Jackie looks over to another table.

JACKIE Oh, they're selling papers on our class news. (jumps from her seat) I'm sure I'm in it. STING Get me one too. Jackie hurries across the room. The former class president is making a speech. Sting and Dallas frown and look to the front. DALLAS What a jerk. STING Maybe I should go up there and have a word with him. PIPER Oh, just knock it off. Honestly, you're acting like you've never left high school. Dallas and Sting glare at her. DALLAS Who do you think you are? PIPER I know who I am. Both of you are acting like jerks.

STING So, hot career woman, what do you think your boss would say if he saw those videos of you high? PIPER The same reaction your boss would have. Don't threaten me. STING I have the proof. You just have your word against mine. You're little more than some slut. PIPER If I'm a slut, it's only because I belonged to this stupid ass click. Sting and Dallas are angered and offended. Before they can speak, Jackie runs to their table with the paper. JACKIE (angry) Look at this article! about us! DALLAS (grabs paper) Let me see-Dallas reads the headlines. DALLAS Brat pack bunch of jailbirds-STING (takes the paper) Who printed this? It has my DUI in here? PIPER (stands) Ironic--you can dish it but you can't take it. How does it feel? STING Sit your ass back down or you're going to find those x-rated tapes on sale at your local grocers. Piper slowly sits back down.

It's

STING (crumbles the paper) Dallas, go find Geoff. We need to discreetly figure out who wrote this article, so I can break his neck. JACKIE I know who wrote it. Either Rush or Sasha. One or both of them is responsible. Dallas leaves the table. STING We need to pretend it doesn't bother us, so start laughing. At Sasha's table, Sasha glances at Piper's table. SASHA (to Rush) So what did you do that has them so upset? RUSH I have no idea what you're talking about. Jenzing approaches the table and speaks softly. JENZING Someone's certainly pissed off the pack. TEACHER I didn't want to deal with them to begin with, let alone deal with them enraged. Jenzing loudly clears his throat then walks away. We see Sting approaching. He pauses before Sasha and attempts a smile. STING (to Sasha) Dance with me-RUSH Are you asking or ordering? Sting glares at Rush. Sasha stands.

SASHA (to Rush) It's okay. I'll take care of this. Sasha turns toward Sting. We see Stone standing in the doorway in an expensive suit. Sasha smiles warmly and pushes past Sting. SASHA Excuse me. Sasha makes her way across the room toward Stone. Stone moves past several people and meets her halfway. Sasha stands close to him to speak softly. SASHA Am I ever glad to see you. STONE (smiles) You look quite stunning. your mother's dress? SASHA My mother's no prude. (touches his jacket) Is that an Armani? STONE Something happen already? SASHA Just the wraith of the pack. Someone beat them to the punch. They've been offended and were looking for blood--mine I think. STONE Then why don't you introduce me to your escort, so we can get our story straight. Sasha looks back to the table. at his table. Rush is gone. Sting is back

That's

SASHA I seem to have lost him. Let me introduce you to my friend, Piper. She's at the table with two of your guys. Sasha takes his hand and leads him to Piper's table. stares at Stone with a look of surprise. Piper

SASHA Piper, I'd like you to meet my-(glares at Sting) New friend-STONE Harrison Steele. Piper stands and smiles warmly. They shake hands.

PIPER It's nice to meet you, Harrison Steele. SASHA This is Sting and Jackie. PIPER (eyes Sasha) You've been keeping him from me. STONE Actually, we've been talking online for a few months. This is the first time we've met. STING Computer date--perfect for Sasha. No sex involved. STONE (glares) Sting--mind your manners around the ladies. You don't want to offend me. STING Yeah, right. So what is it you do for a living, Harry? STONE After they kicked me off of the swat team, I started my own gun club. And don't call me Harry. Sting stares without comment. That's cool. drink? Sure. Sting springs to his feet, nudges Jackie, and both leave. Stone watches them. He then smiles and shifts.

STING Can I get you a STONE

STONE I get this feeling I may never see that drink. Sasha laughs softly. PIPER I can't believe you've kept a man from me. SASHA I didn't want you to get excited over something that was nothing. PIPER (happily) This is great. Why don't you two go dance. I have to give Tori a call. She never showed. STONE (to Sasha) Shall we? Sasha nods. Stone leads her to the dance floor and holds her lightly against him. STONE Can I assume Sting's been after you since high school? SASHA It's one of those cases of wanting what you can't have. He just can't believe I don't want to have a one night stand with him. STONE I don't like him already. where are the others? So

SASHA Dallas went to find Geoff. I haven't seen Harper and Tori. My guess, they're going to meet in the storage closet to get high. STONE A little trip down memory lane, huh?

SASHA Not much of a memory. They were discussing getting high the other day while helping clean. STONE Sting appears well off. Do you think he could be dealing? Maybe killed Mitch over a deal? SASHA No, Sting has his daddy's money, as do all of them. I told you, they're high society trash. The song ends. Stone dips Sasha back, startling her. He pulls her back up, keeping her close to him and looks into her eyes. A warm smile crosses his face. STONE How about the fifty cent tour? Sasha smiles gently and pulls away from him. He takes her hand and leads her from the dance floor and out of the gym. INT. LOBBY A few people roam about the lobby. Some are already leaving. Sasha and Stone walk across the lobby. Rush approaches Sasha. RUSH Sorry I abandoned you in there. You seemed in good hands. (eyes Stone) Do I know you? I doubt it. town. STONE I'm from out of

RUSH No, it was just recent--I'm sure of it. SASHA Mr. Rush, this is Harrison Steele. They shake hands. Rush appears suspicious.

SASHA So--have you seen our friends? RUSH They headed off together in a furious rage.

SASHA You really should be ashamed of yourself--stooping to their level. RUSH I'm doing it for you too, my dear. SASHA No one has to avenge me, Mr. Rush. It's over. RUSH It's not over until the fat lady sings. Rush turns and joins his small group of teachers. turns to Stone with a look of concern. SASHA He's up to something else. If he's caught, they'll kill him. STONE Where's this storage closet? Down the hall. intend to do? SASHA What do you Sasha

STONE I'm winging it. Stone leads Sasha down the hall behind him. against him. SASHA I really don't want to walk in on them. Who knows what they're doing. I have a plan. STONE Follow my lead. Sasha pulls

They pause before the door to the storage closet. Stone pulls Sasha into his arms and opens the closet door. INT. STORAGE CLOSET -- CONTINUOUS Stone and Sasha stand in the doorframe in a close embrace, as if they were coming to the closet to make out. They look inside the storage closet. It's empty. They look at one another, only inches apart.

SASHA Guess that was for nothing. Stone gently strokes her face and smiles warmly. STONE Not for nothing, we'll just have to go to plan B. SASHA What's plan B? Stone lowers his mouth to hers and gently kisses her. Sasha nervously returns the kiss and circles her arms around his neck. Her moves her away from the door and closes it while continuing to kiss her. He slowly pulls away and smiles with some embarrassment. Forgive me. like this. Me either. okay. STONE I'm not usually SASHA Guess that makes it

Stone kisses her passionately, nearly knocking her off of her feet. She catches her balance and kicks a bucket. She pulls away with a soft laugh. SASHA Take it easy. She looks behind her to the bucket. We see reddish tinged water spots on the floor. Before Stone can move in again, Sasha turns to look at the bucket. SASHA What's in that bucket? STONE Looks like--blood. He moves past her and examines it more closely. around the storage closet with some concern. SASHA Is it blood? STONE Purely speculative, I'd say yes. SASHA Should we call the police? He looks

STONE No, not just yet. Let's locate the little bastards--see if we can figure out what's going on. SASHA You think it might be a practical joke? STONE You said they're known for it. Perhaps your Mr. Rush even had some devious trick planned of his own. He opens the door and pulls her out. INT. SECOND FLOOR HALLWAY Stone and Sasha walk along the second floor hallway. The hall is dimly lit and the classroom doors are shut and dark. SASHA What exactly are we looking for up here? STONE Quiet and exclusive. have come up here. They may

SASHA Doubtful. This wasn't one of their hangouts. The boy's locker room, the weight room, shop--principal's office. STONE Someone's been up here recently. I can smell cigarettes. SASHA I think that's from the gym-clinging to my hair. STONE No-(indicates cigarette butt) Someone's been up here. SASHA They'll return to the gym eventually. They could be back there already.

STONE They're never going to come right out and tell me anything about Mitch and April. My best bet is to eavesdrop on them discussing it. SASHA Can you believe Detective Naper had the nerve to practically accuse me of being the one to kill those four? STONE He's pretty suspicious himself. I'm going to snoop around awhile longer. Why don't you return to the party? I'll join you in about an hour. SASHA Maybe I should stay with you. You don't know your way around, and it's dark. STONE No, I'll be fine. Just wait in the gym. Sasha nervously nods and returns to the stairwell. Stone looks down to the floor and rubs his foot over a small droplet of blood. It smears slightly, although it's rather dry. INT. BOY'S LOCKER ROOM We see the rows of lockers and benches. We hear voices across the room echoing. We move along the rows of lockers to the back row near the showers. Geoff and Dallas are sitting on a bench drinking from a flask. GEOFF Tori was right-DALLAS Right about what? GEOFF You guys left town. You started fresh at college. My hopes of college vanished along with my father. You don't know what it was like to be left holding the pack's reputation. DALLAS We were feared and respected.

GEOFF No, that's an oxymoron. You don't get respect from fear, you get dirty looks. I never knew how much we were hated. I never realized how big of jerks we really were. DALLAS You're calling the brat pack jerks? GEOFF Oh, Dallas--grow up. You act like we were idols or something. People despised us--we did rotten things to a lot of people. We ruined a lot of people's lives, including our own. DALLAS Whoa, wait. Maybe you're feeling sorry for yourself, Geoff, but my life is going great. I have a great career waiting for me. GEOFF Girlfriend? DALLAS (cheap smile) That depends on the day of the week. GEOFF Women in this town won't even look at me. I'm like the antiChrist. The reason we're not in relationships is because of the way we treated girls back in high school. This is our payback. DALLAS What are you talking about? I've never had any complaints about the way I treat women, now or then. GEOFF We used girls in our sick little sex games. Don't pretend to be innocent. April told me about the videos you made.

DALLAS April lied about everything. She and Mitch were completely fried on drugs. GEOFF No, she knew what she was talking about. We ruined so many lives to satisfy ourselves. Now Mitch and April are dead. DALLAS (stands) Wait a minute--you're not going to accuse me of killing some drug addicts and whores. GEOFF The pack created them just as it created us. We'll never be free until we confess our sins and beg for forgiveness. DALLAS You're out of your mind drunk! GEOFF No, I'm completely sober. DALLAS Something's gotten into you. GEOFF A guilty conscience. Two of our friends were brutally butchered. Doesn't that bother you at all? DALLAS Yeah, but I can't change it and neither can you. GEOFF What about Candice? DALLAS Don't bring her into this. GEOFF Oh, come on. You know damned well why she killed herself-because of us. DALLAS You're not blaming any of this on me. You need to go home and sleep it off.

GEOFF At least I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'm asking for forgiveness. DALLAS From who? GEOFF Mr. Rush, Sasha, Mr. Jenzing, and everyone else I've ever hurt. DALLAS We made a promise when we formed the pack that we'd never tell anyone what happened in our group. I'm holding you to that. Keep your mouth shut--or I'll shut it for you! Dallas turns and leaves the locker room. locker on the way out. Geoff frowns. INT. GYM The lights are turned down low and a lot of couples are slow dancing on the dance floor. Piper and Sasha sit at a table near the back and watch the couples on the dance floor. Piper appears a little drunk. PIPER Really--where did you meet that guy? SASHA I'll tell you if you tell me about the pack. PIPER Are we back on that again? Don't you think about anything else? SASHA The police think I may have been involved in the murders. PIPER You? As if you could ever kill anyone. SASHA They think it may be related to something from back in high school. You heard Naper. We hear him kick a

PIPER There's nothing I could tell you that would help in that type of investigation. SASHA What happened while you were in the pack? PIPER We vowed to never repeat what we said and did. SASHA Something did happen, didn't it? PIPER Leave it, Sasha. It's not worth it--for any of us. SASHA What do you mean? PIPER (angry) I'm not discussing it. SASHA You're being blackmailed to keep your silence. PIPER (stands) Leave me alone. Piper hurries from the room, despite her drunken condition. Sasha stands and attempts to go after her. Jackie stops Sasha. They stare at one another. JACKIE Poke your nose into our business again, and you'll learn another valuable lesson. Sasha watches Jackie join Sting by the back doorway. Sting puts his arm around Jackie, smiles at Sasha, and then leaves. Sasha returns to her seat and sinks into thought. INT. HALLWAY We see the faculty lounge door. Escalating moans of a couple engaged in sexual activities can be heard. INT. FACULTY LOUNGE

We see Sting smoking a cigarette while zipping his pants. Jackie adjust her stockings then takes the cigarette from him, puffs on it, and then sits on the arm of the sofa. Sting lights another cigarette. JACKIE I'm taking an unhealthy dislike to that Sasha all over again. Wait until I see Harper. He had something planned for her tonight. Looks like that fell through. STING She's pretty hot, that Sasha. JACKIE (glares) Finished with me and already looking for your next conquest? STING No, she was the first, you were just easier to obtain. Jackie stands with a look of hostility. JACKIE Why you miserable bastard! STING (laughs) Oh, come on, Jackie. You're used to a quick screw--you do it with everyone. Should I pretend to respect you? JACKIE So--what? Our pack pledge only included the guys? STING I don't understand why you're getting so upset. You and I were in a threesome several times before. You never got jealous before. JACKIE Some people mature. STING (laughs) What? You expect me to marry you now? You aren't they type of girl I'd marry.

JACKIE No? I'm the type you use then toss aside. STING If you don't like the game, then stop coming back for more. Jackie grabs her small purse and storms from the room. Sting crushes his cigarette. STING After sex pillow talk is taking longer and longer with her. Sting leaves the room as well. INT. AUDITORIUM We see the dimly lit stage and the dark auditorium. Stone walks along the aisle and walks up onto stage. He looks out to the rows of seats. We see darkness in the audience. Stone walks along stage then approaches the wings and backstage. INT. BACKSTAGE -- CONTINUOUS Stone appears backstage and looks around. We see several props and wardrobe hangers along the back area. It's also dimly lit. We hear the sound of paper ripping. Stone turns the corner of a wardrobe hanger. We see Rush sitting on a rotting hassock tearing paper over a wastepaper basket. Stone slowly approaches him from behind and looks over his shoulder. We see the photo of Sasha in a towel. Rush whirls around with a startled gasp. He relaxes when he sees Stone and keeps the photo close to him. RUSH Don't sneak up on a man like that. STONE Especially one with foul intentions for revenge. RUSH It's none of your business. You can't understand what those rich bastards have done to this school. STONE I understand enough to know they were hated for good reasons. What are you doing?

RUSH Taking care of some old business before staring with the new. STONE Let me see-RUSH No-STONE Don't make me take them from you. I just want to know what's going on around here. RUSH It's personal, Steele. You seem to like Sasha. If you respect her at all, you won't look at these. STONE They're photos of Sasha? RUSH (nods) Opening day of our spring play. Sasha was my pride--she had so much talent. She'd never sang in front of so many people before. But I knew she'd be great. (frowns) But that damned pack dropped this huge half naked poster of her in front of the crowded auditorium. I tried to cover the stage quickly, but the damage was already done. Sasha was so embarrassed, she wouldn't come to school for a week. I'd tried to talk to her, but she wouldn't even talk to me. STONE You've heard about the murders next to Sasha's house, hadn't you? RUSH Of course. Everyone has. I almost feel sorry for the other two, but I can't feel anything for Mitch and April. It's like putting down a suffering animal.

STONE Do you think it's possible that one or several of the others killed those four from their group? Do you recall any sort of falling out? RUSH Mitch and April broke away from the pack when they started college. Yes, I think there was some resentment there. April and Mitch were a couple, and that was a no-no. So, yes, I thing they could kill their own. Some people do grow up. STONE You really care for Sasha, don't you? RUSH She's a teacher's dream student. Did her work, didn't talk back, reached all expectations, and still had a few surprises left. I'm very fond of Sasha. It killed me--what they did to her. (soft laugh) Thought of killing the little bastards myself. Thankfully I'm over that now. My revenge is more subtle and thorough. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to take the rest of these to the office shredder, if it's still there. Rush takes the photos and leaves through the side door. We hear a clunk from deeper backstage. Stone stares a moment then slowly walks toward some sets. INT. BOY'S LOCKER ROOM Geoff leans against the wall with his eyes shut. He holds the flask in his hand. His eyes are closed. His eyes appear to open for no reason. He looks around the dimly lit locker room. Dallas? There's no response. GEOFF Sting? Geoff shakes his head and stands.

GEOFF You guys--I'm not in the mood for your childish pranks.

Geoff walks along the aisle between the lockers. We hear a thump against lockers within the room. Geoff looks around with curiosity. GEOFF I know you're down here. Geoff walks around the end of the lockers and looks both directions. We see more lockers. Geoff pauses at the end of the aisle and stares toward the back of the locker room. He sinks into thought then turns back around. A gloved hand raises a sculpted dagger. Geoff gasps with surprise. The dagger plunges downward. INT. LOBBY Sasha paces the lobby as people leave in a steady drove. She looks at her watch then continues to pace. We hear a sound down the hall. Sasha quickly turns and stares down the empty hall. She slowly walks down the hall and pauses before the auditorium door. She slowly pulls open the door. Someone moves behind Sasha. She quickly turns and gasps with surprise. Rush jumps back then chuckles softly. RUSH You're a little jumpy tonight. SASHA Everyone seems to have left me. The caterers are almost finished packing. RUSH I'm sorry I took off on you like that. I had a few things to check into. Would you like me to give a ride home or is Mr. Steele taking you home? SASHA I'm not sure. I can't find him or Piper. Where do suppose they could be? RUSH They went off together? SASHA No-not like that. RUSH I'm going to check on the caterers, so I can lock up after them. Mr. Jenzing wanted to leave early tonight. Has he gone already?

SASHA I couldn't say. I haven't seen any of the pack either. RUSH Do you suppose they've gone? SASHA I haven't seen them since after dinner, but Jackie left her purse on the table. RUSH Why don't you wait here--see if you run into anyone. I'll be back in a few minutes. If they don't show up, I'll take you home. Sasha nods and watches Rush enter the gym. Sasha continues to pace then walks back to the auditorium. She slowly reaches for the door and gently pulls it open. INT. AUDITORIUM Sasha slowly enters the dimly lit auditorium and looks toward the dimly lit stage. She slowly walks toward the stage. We see the darkness of the auditorium seating. There are many dark areas. She approaches the stage and walks onto it. She stands on the stage and looks into the darkness. Sasha looks down to the stage, looks back to the audience, and then begins a short dance sequence from the high school play. As she dances across center stage, we see someone standing in the shadows of the wings. She ends the dance sequence by raising her hands in the air and holds it. We hear applauding from the wings. Sasha jumps and spins toward the wings. Stone stops clapping and walks toward her with a warm smile. Sasha appears embarrassed. STONE You're full of talented surprises. SASHA Things that are best kept locked in the past. STONE You don't have to hide your gifts, Sasha. Rush told me what happened to you in high school. SASHA I don't know what possessed him-

STONE (removes a photo) I saw the photo. SASHA The nightmare never ends, does it? STONE I'm sure it was an embarrassing moment, but it's actually a flattering picture. SASHA I don't see it that way. STONE You're an attractive, sensual woman, Sasha. Please don't fault me for thinking so. They stare into each other's eyes. Sasha smiles gently.

SASHA No, but I can still think you're absolutely crazy. STONE You do that to me. SASHA Everyone seems to have gone. Mr. Rush wants to know if you're going to take me home. STONE If you don't mind, I'd be more than happy to take you home. But I'd like to check on one more thing before we leave. SASHA I think the others are already gone. STONE Possibly, but I want to check something else--in the office. Sasha appears confused. INT. OFFICE Sasha enters the office behind Stone. moment then turns back to her. He looks around a

SASHA What are you looking for? STONE A shredding machine. SASHA There won't be any left here. They only left the desks because they were supposed to sell the school to a college, but it fell through. STONE We should get going. SASHA I thought you wanted to see Mr. Rush? STONE That won't be necessary. get going. INT. LOBBY Sasha and Stone approach the front doors. Stone pauses before them and looks around with a look of concern. We see the chains across the doors. STONE Change of plans. SASHA They left and locked us in? STONE From the inside? Doubtful. need to find Rush. We Let's

Stone takes her hand and pulls her toward the gym. INT. GYM -- CONTINUOUS They enter the gym. All the food, dishes, table clothes, and band equipment is gone. Only the tables remain. SASHA Mr. Rush? There's no response. STONE We'll check the back doors. PIPER (O.S.) What's going on around here?

Stone and Sasha look to the side door. standing in the doorway. PIPER All of the doors are locked.

We see Piper

STONE Why don't you two stay here? I'll find Rush and get us out of here. SASHA Maybe we should come along. STONE No, I prefer if you'd stay here. PIPER You don't think the doors were locked on purpose, do you? Mr. Rush probably thought everyone had left. STONE I'm not taking any chances. SASHA All the more reason you shouldn't go off alone. I'll be fine. STONE Wait here.

Stone removes his gun from the shoulder holster and walks out of the gym. Piper glares at Sasha. PIPER He just happened to arrive with a gun? You didn't really meet him the way you said. Who is he? SASHA Holten Stone. PIPER Stone? You brought him here? He's a killer! SASHA He's not a killer. He's helping investigate the murders. How? PIPER What is he doing here?

SASHA He thinks one of the pack may be the killer. PIPER You're out of your mind! I can't believe you'd trust him! Those guys may be a lot of things, but they're not killers. Jackie enters the gym from the main entrance, approaches the table and snatches her purse. JACKIE You guys still here? everyone else left. I thought

PIPER We have to wait for Mr. Rush to unlock the doors. JACKIE Oh, great. Who knows what else he has planned for us. SASHA What do you mean? JACKIE Oh, don't play innocent. He wrote that article. It's not coincidence that Dallas, Sting, and Geoff are still here. PIPER I didn't see them JACKIE That's because they're getting high in the stairwell--at least Sting and Dallas are. Geoff's being a prick. PIPER Maybe we should wait in the lobby. JACKIE There's nothing better in the lobby. PIPER I'd feel safer in the lobby. SASHA Let's wait in the lobby.

They leave the gym and enter the lobby. INT. LOBBY -- CONTINUOUS Jackie stands next to the glass doors smoking. at the old trophies. Sasha continues to pace. SASHA It's been twenty minutes. Where do you suppose the others are? JACKIE I know where Dallas and Sting still are. PIPER Maybe we should get them. SASHA No thank you. PIPER They could be in danger. JACKIE Why would they be in danger? Sasha frowns and looks away. PIPER Sasha's date is that guy who killed Mitch and April. SASHA The police let him go, but you're convinced he did it. PIPER He has a gun. SASHA He's a bodyguard. PIPER We should get the others--for safety. SASHA Stone told us to wait here. PIPER So he can pick us off one at a time. SASHA You've seen one to many horror movies. Piper stares

JACKIE Let's go get them. We should stick together. The pack can handle this bodyguard. SASHA You two brat pack lap dogs can go. I'm waiting for Stone. Fine. PIPER Be that way.

JACKIE It's no wonder they were out to get you--the little virgin princess. SASHA I'd rather be a virgin than a slut. I can always give it up, but you can never get it back. JACKIE You're just jealous because you don't have anyone who watches your back like we watch each others. SASHA I have friends--and they don't put conditions on friendship. Piper appears uneasy. She pulls Jackie away. Sasha paces a few minutes longer then casts her back against the wall with a concerned sigh. SASHA Come on, Stone. Where are you? We hear a sound coming from the auditorium. Sasha slowly walks toward the auditorium and opens the door. INT. AUDITORIUM -- CONTINUOUS Dim stage lighting. around. Mr. Rush? We hear a clunk from back stage. walks down the aisle. Mr. Rush? Sasha slowly enters and Sasha stands in the doorway and looks SASHA

SASHA We need to leave now.

There's no response as she approaches the stage. Sasha slowly walks onto stage. Bright lights suddenly pop on above her. Sasha jumps with surprise and approaches the wings. A man in a wooden mask and cloak jumps out at her with a sword. Sasha jumps with a startled scream then frowns. She snatches the sword from him. Dallas lifts the mask and frowns. DALLAS Weren't you scared? SASHA Not of an old prop. I used that sword in our spring play. DALLAS (high/laughs) Yeah, I remember that play. I especially liked that part with you in a towel. SASHA You're such an asshole. Everything's a joke to you. Don't care who gets hurt. DALLAS Come on, that was five years ago. SASHA Maybe so, but you and your idiot friends ruined a very special night for me. My parents--my grandparents were in that audience. Do you have any idea how embarrassed I was? But why should you care. The brat pack was a gang of young terrorists. You may have thought you were cool, but no one liked you or your friends. DALLAS Now that's just plain mean. SASHA Get what you give, Dallas. DALLAS Were you talking to Geoff? SASHA No. I haven't gone out of my way to talk to any of you--ever.

DALLAS That's your problem, Sasha. You always thought you were better then us. We had wealthy parents, everything money could buy, and we were the most popular football players. SASHA Money and forced popularity doesn't get you respect or selfworth. I'm sorry, Dallas, most people are better than you. DALLAS I can't believe you're talking to me like this. I'm with the brat pack. I played on the football team--I dated cheerleaders. You were just some lower, middle class drama student. SASHA Reality suddenly tells you all of that means nothing today. Football is over, cheerleader status means nothing, and you see the pack once or twice a year. DALLAS You're cruel. SASHA Maybe you finally grew up. We hear a loud, metallic grind. A display falls with Harper hanging from it. His eyes are open and his throat's torn out. Sasha and Dallas jump away from the display. Sasha holds back her scream. Dallas grabs Sasha's arm and pulls her backstage. INT. BACKSTAGE -- CONTINUOUS Dallas pulls Sasha past the curtains. DALLAS We can get out this way. A figure wearing a similar cloak and wooden mask suddenly jumps out and stabs Dallas in the chest. Sasha screams. Dallas jerks backwards, knocking Sasha against the wooden post. Her head strikes the post and she falls to her knees with some disorientation. The cloaked figure stabs Dallas again then approaches Sasha and pushes her back against the post.

She falls onto her backside and attempts to struggle despite her disorientation. The cloaked figure places the knife to her throat and appears to pause and stare. EXT. Within seconds, the door is pulled open. Stone sates at Sasha with surprise. Sasha leaps into Stone's arms. SASHA They're dead. He killed Dallas right in front of me. INT. BACKSTAGE -- CONTINUOUS Stone slowly pulls away and looks Sasha in the eyes. STONE I know. I saw them. Are you okay? Did he hurt you? SASHA He didn't kill me. He wants them. Them? STONE Who wants them?

SASHA Mr. Rush--he's after the brat pack. STONE Why do you think it's Rush? SASHA Who else would let me live after killing Dallas? He hated them. He said he'd get his revenge. We need to find Piper. Sasha pulls away and nearly falls down. She clutches her head. Stone supports her and looks in her eyes. STONE You have a concussion. hit your head? Did you

SASHA I'll be fine. We have to find Piper. I know where they went. Sasha clings to Stone's arm and directs him through the back stage door. INT. HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS Stone keeps hold of Sasha as they head down the hallway. They approach the janitor's closet. Piper, Jackie, and Sting come out of the stairway. Sting immediately approaches Stone.

STING So, you're the bodyguard accused of killing Mitch and April. I ought to-STONE Shut it, rich boy. We have to get out of here first. JACKIE With the doors conveniently locked. What did you do with Mr. Rush? STONE Your friends are dead. Would you like to stand here and debate it or get the hell out of here? Dead? PIPER What do you mean?

STONE Murdered--killed. Stone turns to a glass enclosed ax and smashes the glass with his elbow. He removes the ax and turns to face them. They gasp. STONE We're going through the front doors. JACKIE (to Sasha) Can't you see--he's the killer. (backs away) He's going to kill us all! Stone rolls his eyes and shakes his head. STONE Come on, Sasha. We're leaving. Stone takes Sasha's hand and leads her back down the hallway. Sasha looks back while following Stone. SASHA You can't stay here. safe! It's not

STING We'll follow from a safe distance. Piper, Sting, and Jackie follow them along the hallway.

JACKIE What about Dallas and Geoff? They can't be dead. STONE Less talk. PIPER (hurries to Sasha) Don't you get it? Piper stops Sasha, causing Stone to stop and turn just before the auditorium. Piper pulls Sasha a couple of feet away. PIPER Stay back here with us. can't trust him. You

SASHA I saw the killer, Piper. Despite the mask, I know it wasn't Stone. Trust me just this once. PIPER And you got away? SASHA The killer didn't want me. He's after you guys. I think it's Mr. Rush. He wouldn't kill me, and no one's seen him since the reunion ended. PIPER Don't you see? It's him. The killer didn't hurt you, because it's Stone. You have to trust me. STONE (icy) Let's go. Sting suddenly grabs Sasha and pulls her to the stairway. Jackie and Piper hurry into the stairway after them. Sasha kicks and screams. Stone runs for the stairway also. STONE Let her go! INT. BASEMENT CORRIDOR -- CONTINUOUS Sasha and Piper walk away from the locker room. returns to them. STING She just took off. I don't know where she went. PIPER Sasha's right. They're after us. Something we did. Someone wants us dead. STING Don't be stupid. We never did anything that bad. Nothing anyone knows about. SASHA Someone's after you. have been something. you do to Mr. Rush? There must What did Sting Sasha follows.

STING He's crazy. We never really did anything to him. Made him look like a fool on several occasions, but he didn't really need our help. The better question would be, why does Stone want to kill us? He's the common link. He was at the house with Mitch and now here. SASHA It's not Stone. STING I see you have the hots for him, little princess, but you chose poorly. Come on, we can get to the football field from here. SASHA That's a fire door. You won't be able to get out that way. We have to go back.

STING If it's locked, we'll go back up through the gym, but it's not locked. I broke that lock years ago. No body ever replaced it. INT. GYM Jackie runs across the gym. She slows down and looks around the large, empty room. The lights suddenly go out. Jackie gasps and looks around. She hurries across the gym with use of the moonlight coming in through the skylight. It only provides a little light. We hear the gym door open. Jackie gasps and looks around the darkened room. She runs in the direction of the main doors and tumbles over a chair with a crash. Jackie quickly pulls herself to her feet and runs for the main doors. A dark figure steps in front to the door. Jackie suddenly slides to a stop. The dark figure slashes a knife at her. Jackie screams as it slices her shoulder. She spins and runs across the room. We hear someone running after her. She reaches the back door and pulls it open. Light floods into the doorway portion of the room. We hear a rush of air. Jackie suddenly freezes with a look of surprise and pain. She gasps and falls face first to the floor. We see the knife in her back. Jackie is pulled back into the gym by her ankles. INT. BASEMENT/BACK HALL Piper and Sting run to the back door. Sasha walks casually behind them and casts her back to the wall. Sting attempts to force open the chained door. STING Fucking bastard! SASHA You wouldn't listen. STING Shut up, bitch! I'm going to the weight room. I'll break the chain if I have too. Sting runs past her and down the steps. SASHA We should stay together! Sasha shakes her head. Piper paces nervously.

PIPER I can't believe this. Someone wants to kill us. We may have been immoral at times, but nothing to deserve this.

SASHA Care to tell me about it now? We may still be able to stop this. PIPER There's nothing to tell. There's the brat pack selection, choosing of new members, and the initiation. We played some jokes on people. Yours was the most humiliating, and I told you I had nothing to do with that. SASHA What about Mr. Rush? PIPER Jackie once accused him of sexual harassment, just for fun. Nothing came of it. They gave him a day off, pretended to investigate it, called Jackie a liar, and found him innocent. SASHA And that's nothing? Did you beat little old ladies for kicks as well? PIPER Come on, that was a long time ago. I wasn't involved in that one either. SASHA No? So what was your initiation? Who did you have to emotionally scar to become an official member? PIPER (soft) Only ourselves. SASHA What do you mean? PIPER We had to have sex with the guys in the pack. SASHA One or all of them?

PIPER All five--at once. It's not something I'm proud of. We all had to do it. SASHA I can't believe you'd be so stupid. PIPER I wanted to belong. Like I said, the others did it. Harper would play the tapes at our parties. SASHA That's pleasant. Not only did you gang bang with five guys at once, but you allowed them to video tape it. No wonder you defend them. It would be a total embarrassment if anyone saw those tapes. PIPER I know--okay! SASHA Is that why Candice killed herself? PIPER She found out she was pregnant. That night with the pack was her first time. One of them was the father. Sasha stares with surprise. PIPER They found out and made her get an abortion. She was so traumatized afterwards. Tori attempted to console her that night, but Candice just couldn't accept it. SASHA And yet you still defend that fucking cult of yours. Don't you get it yet? PIPER Yes, I know what we did, Sasha. You don't get out of the pack. They have the tapes. They know how to keep me silent.

SASHA Yeah, it's called blackmail. Did Mr. Jenzing know about the abortion? She needed a consenting adult, right? PIPER They did it themselves. God! Poor Candice! Oh,

Sasha stares in silence with a look of horror upon her face. STING (O.S.) What the hell's wrong with you! Both look to the stairway. Sting flies up the steps and grabs Piper by the shoulders. STING You fucking whore! Sting slaps Piper roughly, casting her to the floor. spins to face Sasha. STING If you ever tell anyone, I'll kill you! Sting turns back to Piper and pulls her to her feet by her hair. She screams in fright and agony. STING I'm going to teach you to never tell our secrets again. Sting pulls Piper by her hair toward the stairs. jumps in front of them. SASHA Leave her alone! STING Or what? Sasha attempts to kick Sting. Her dress prevents her from kicking more than a foot and she's knocked back into the wall off balance. Sting grabs Sasha by the hair and throws her against the door. She strikes the upper glass portion and shatters it before falling to the floor. She clutches the back of her head in agony. Sting drags Piper to the steps. Piper screams and struggles. Sasha! PIPER Oh, God, Sasha! Sting spins toward Sasha. Sasha He

We hear a loud, vicious snarl.

Ogun leaps through the partially shattered window with his teeth bared. He runs two steps and leaps on top of Sting. Sting releases Piper and grabs for the dog with a look of horror. Both Sting and Ogun tumble down the stairs. We hear Ogun whimper loud and long. Sasha pulls herself to her feet and staggers for the stairs. SASHA Ogun! Sasha runs down the stairs and nearly falls down them. INT. BASEMENT CORRIDOR -- CONTINUOUS Sasha and Piper reach the bottom of the steps. Sting staggers away while holding his side. Ogun whimpers slightly and holds his front paw in the air. SASHA (kneels before Ogun) Oh, you're hurt-Ogun whimpers before she can touch it. PIPER We can get out through the broken window. Let's go--now. SASHA He can't make it up those steps. PIPER We have to get away from here. We'll carry him if we have too. Ogun suddenly starts to growl at the stairs. alarmed. PIPER (softly) Quick, hide. Before either can react, we see Stone appear on the stairs. Ogun whimpers then barks happily. Stone hurries toward them. What happened? STONE Are you okay? Piper becomes

He looks at Sasha's bruised shoulder and touches the cut. STONE He found you? SASHA No, Sting went psycho.

STONE (angry) He hit you? SASHA No, just through me into a steel door. Can we leave now? STONE Yeah, I'll deal with that bastard later. (looks at Ogun) Where'd he come from? SASHA The window. STONE Come on. We'll climb through the broken window. SASHA Ogun-STONE I'll worry about your dog. Let's go. They turn toward the steps. The man in the black cloak and wooden mask suddenly appears on the steps with the ax. Stone removes his gun. The man dives to the side, out of sight. STONE Lock yourselves in the weight room. I'm going to get that bastard. SASHA No, let him come to you. He'll get you before you even see him. We'll go back this way. PIPER Follow me. They hurry along the hall. INT. HALLWAY -- CONTINUOUS Sasha, Piper, and Stone hurry along the first floor hallway. Ogun continues to limp behind them. Ogun limps after them.

STONE The front doors are open. I broke them with the ax. He must've found it where I left it. SASHA You came back--for me? STONE Did you think I was going to just leave you? Piper stops in the hallway and looks back at them. PIPER Can you have this romantic moment outside? Piper's suddenly grabbed from behind and pulled into the gym. She screams. Ogun snarls and attempts to run after her. Stone motions for Sasha to stay and runs to the gym. Sasha waits only a moment then hurries after them. Just as Stone and Ogun disappear into the gym, Sasha is tackled to the hall floor. She screams and is thrown onto her back. Sting hovers over her with an enraged look on his face. STING You're going to pay for what your dog did to me! Sasha struggles beneath him and manages to push him off of her. She scrambles to her feet and faces Sting, now on his feet as well. Sasha kicks off her shoes. SASHA Piper's in the hands of the killer, and you only care about yourself. STING She never should've told. I don't care what happens to her now. SASHA Oh-(rips the slit higher on her dress) I'm sorry you feel that way. Sasha positions herself in a karate position. STING You expect me to believe you know karate?

Sting comes at her. Sasha kicks him in the mouth, knocking him backward. He falls onto his backside. He looks at her with surprise. We hear Piper scream. Piper runs through the side gym door near them. PIPER He attacked Stone! We hear a gun shot. Sasha runs for the gym door. Piper looks at Sting who slowly stands. She kicks him in the groin and runs after Sasha. Sting once more falls to the floor. INT. GYM -- CONTINUOUS Sasha and Piper enter the now dimly lit gym. We see blood on the floor in a long streak. Stone lie on the floor. Ogun barks to the back door. Sasha runs across the gym and kneels alongside Stone. He clutches his shoulder. The gun's missing. Stone? Stone sinks out. Piper. SASHA Can you hear me? Sasha becomes horrified. She looks to

SASHA Get the police! Get help! PIPER What about you? SASHA I can't leave him. He's hurt bad. Go! Piper hurries across the gym to the main doors and races out of them. Sasha feels Stone's pants legs. She removes a small, semiautomatic. SASHA You really meant it. INT. HALLWAY Sting curses while holding his stomach and hurries along the hall. STING I'll kill them both. little-Rotten

Sting turns the corner. The ax flies around the corner and catches him in the chest. Sting gasps, staggers back several steps, and falls to the floor.

INT. LOBBY Piper hurries across the lobby and approaches the open doors. The man in the wooden mask grabs her from behind and places the gun to her head. KILLER May the last of the brat pack go to hell. He's about to pull the trigger when Sasha appears in the gym doorway holding the small gun. The man turns Piper to face Sasha with his back to the open doors. KILLER I don't want you. Don't make me hurt you. They had to die. SASHA Put the gun down. Killing her won't bring her back. The killer appears motionless. SASHA You can't bring Candice back by killing her. Put the gun down, Mr. Jenzing. Principal Jenzing slowly removes his mask. appears surprised. JENZING How did you know? SASHA Piper told me what really happened with Candice. I was positive you knew she'd been pregnant. They would have done an autopsy after they found her. What they did was reprehensible, but you can't take matters into your own hands. JENZING Maybe not, but you can't convince me I was wrong. My baby's dead because of them. They deserved to die--every one of them. SASHA Piper had nothing to do with it. Please, let her go. His expression

JENZING I'm sorry about your boyfriend. That was unfortunate. You should've stayed locked in the closet. I should've tied you like I did Rush. I didn't want to involve you in this. But she has to die. I won't rest until she's dead--the last of the brat pack. Detective Naper appears behind Jenzing and places the gun to his head. Drop it. NAPER I won't miss.

Jenzing slowly releases the gun and Piper. Piper runs for Sasha and clings to her. Naper handcuffs Jenzing. NAPER I followed your dog here. I was afraid something happened. SASHA We need an ambulance right away. Stone's been shot. Several other are dead. PIPER Mr. Rush is around here somewhere. I can't believe he's innocent. EXT. PORCH -- DAY Stone sits back in the chair and plays with his arms sling. Sasha pets Ogun with the cast on his front leg. Piper sits on the railing and shakes her head. PIPER You certainly have your hands full. SASHA You could stay around and help me, you know. PIPER (stands) No. My mind is made up. I'm getting away from this town for awhile. I actually feel free for the first time in my life.

SASHA I guess you are. You're free from the brat pack and those videos. PIPER I'll call you when I'm settled. Sasha nods. They hug briefly. Stone's eyes open. Piper turns and walks away.

STONE Jenzing claims he didn't kill Sting. SASHA Some things are best left alone. STONE You know she did it. SASHA I don't know anything for fact, but I suspect she killed him. After all those murders, they're not going to believe anyone but Jenzing killed him. STONE You're probably right. SASHA How are you feeling? STONE Defective. SASHA So we can sleep in the same bed without fear that something may happen? STONE I said defective--not dead. SASHA That's good to hear. I was afraid you might fall asleep on me. STONE (stands) Just waiting for an offer. Sasha takes his hand, smiles, and leads him into the house. FADE OUT
