This slide show is especially for people
who need help on erosion with rivers in
geography. First it will show erosion in
waterfalls then erosion in oxbow lakes.
1) River flows from hard to soft
rock and erodes into a step.

2) Water crashes down and

erodes the bottom
forming a plunge pool and
undercutting the hard
rock.

3) Hard rock breaks off,

water
moves upstream process
starts again
1) Erosion happens at the
corners of the river and that’s
where the river speeds up.

2) The curve then gets

bigger and creates a U
shape.

3) The river then

makes a D shape with
deposition.

4) Then the river is

turned into a river and
an oxbow lake.
