The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a book about a little girl called Mary Lennox who loses her parents in a cholera epidemic. Because of this tragic event, she goes to live with her uncle on the Yorkshire moors in England. There, Mary soon finds an appreciation for the moorland and discovers a big garden, that has locked and abandoned for years, with the help of her friend Dickon, one of the servants brothers, she begins restoring the garden and eventually Mary meets her cousin Colin, who believes he is an invalid who will die, but Mary tells him all about the secret garden. Together, these three children work to make the secret garden their own world, which in turn helps them to build a special relationship that changes their lives forever.
