CHECK LIST FOR START UP OF KKK TURBINES Sr.No 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Description Fill oil reservoir up to sight glass. Check cooling water is in service through the cooler. Open the suction and discharge valve of pump. Hydraulic knob and servo motor valve should be closed. Turbine Tachometer show zero rpm Open the drain valve of steam inlet and outlet line to remove the condensate. Check that exhaust steam line should not be blinded to avoid any accident. Open the discharge valve of turbine fully. Open the casing vent valve of turbine fully and open the suction valve of turbine few turns and allow the turbine for heating for some time (15~20 min.) When turbine is heated up then latch the over speed trip lever. Open servo motor valve As you open the servo motor valve, turbine will start at about 2000 rpm. Further adjust the rpm of turbine with help of hydraulic Knob at 2800 rpm. Close condensate drain valves. Observe any abnormal sound in pump or turbine. Yes No Remarks
