MY FIRST DAY AT COLLEGE

Hello! My name is Asad and I am 16 years old . I started college in September 2012. I am going to tell you about my first day at college. My first day at college was very enjoyable because I met people who have dif ferent backgrounds. I worked with other students and everyone was so polite and helpful.  Hello everyone. My name is Aisha. I'm going to present a trip of Chester zoo. On Tuesday,16th October 2012. I and all the ESOL student and teachers went to Chester zoo. We left the college 9:15am then we had a lots of fun. We arrived at 10:45am. Then we all made groups for work related to animals. We took some pictures with teacher some were in front of the animals and as well in the train. The train was so slow but it was nice for seeing the animals. Some animals are interesting because of their beautiful feathers and colours. Some animals were taller then us like giraffe, elephant and camel. It was nice trip and I enjoyed well. By Aisha Ibrar

My teachers
This year I had three teachers who taught me and I think that they are greatest teachers I had ever. The first teacher is Sonya Dewan. She taught me everything about English language and PSD (Personal and Social Development) where we finished lots of assignments that checked my skills needed in real life. The next teacher is Alex Stevenson who is Head of ESOL Department too. He taught me things about Citizenship, that Ill need in the future when Ill try be a citizen or politician. The last teacher is Paul Wells who taught me everything about Maths. If I had any problems, he always has been helpful like Sonya and Alex. I always can count on them and joking anytime. My teachers are always busy, because my class is not just one they taught this year. They work very hard to help us and I gave them biggest respect.

In my opinion ESOL teachers are the best teachers in

my life because the ESOL teacher knows how to talk to student who comes from different countries. They are very helpful, they help students much more than student expect. They like to help students and they are very passionate about teaching people who cant talk English. I really like my tutor and teachers. They always help us when we need help. Mehdi Hasan Manna

My best day at college

Actually, everyday is my best day at college but I think Wednesday is my favourite day in a whole week because our Maths lesson finishes at 1 oclock. After the class I stay in college with friends. Sometime we play lots of games in college and also sing songs. Sometime we do our assignments in JT. Mostly I spend my time with my all friends in green room and we also had lots of funny moments there. We also went to town for shopping and sometimes we went to friends birthday parties. We also do some prank calls just for fun. Before we went to Mahdlo for zumba. My friends are very creative and kind. NASIRAH AHMED XXX :P

Ahmed. I like her because she is my first friend in this college. If someone sometimes being rude with her than she doesnt care. She always forgive people. That's why lots of people like her. She is also a very helpful person. I also like my all class mates.

 We had lots of enjoyable things. I learned lots of things and enjoy more things this year. I had lots of trips. I went to London, Chester Zoo, Liverpool, Manchester History museum. On 6th June we went to London. I was really very excited because I have never been London before. We went to Buckingham Palace, London Eye, London Bridge,

Green Park. We visited underground train. I enjoyed it and I got lots of experience.
That time I was very happy because I passed my exam. My teachers, what I tell about them..really they are very good, excellent and friendly. They always helped me and supported me. My friends were very funny. They made funny things. In lesson we always worked

together. We also respect each other. I will never forget my college life. I will keep those
memories forever in my mind.

The Peoples History Museum

On 15th February we went to the Peoples History Museum

We learned about the history of slavery and Manchester.

ACTIVITIES
The Oldham College is really good college, you can get a good education from this College. Oldham College activities like football, cricket, table tennis and lots of more activities are available for all students. We also do competitions with other Colleges. Oldham College football and cricket team won lots of competitions this year. We are going to present lots of more activities for next year that students can have more fun and their favourite sports. They can also have a go in their every single favourite activities. Students can participate in all of the activities. I was in the football and cricket teams. Two weeks ago we played cricket with Bluecoat College and we WON by 9 wickets and last month Oldham football team went to Manchester including me for a tournament. We became 1st in the whole of Manchester Colleges who participated in that tournament. Thanks to Ray (organizer) that he always organises everything for us and he never let us down.

OUR ACHIEVEMENT
Me and my friends achieved lots of qualifications this year. I passed all my ESOL exam and Level 1 as well like other students did. We learned so many things from our teachers. We learned lots of things about IT too. We all did very well in our math exam. We did lots of assignment. We also improved our English speaking and writing. When we went on the trips, we learned about the culture, manners and different countries around the world.

 On 6th of June 2013 we went to London. We travelled by train. It took two and half hours. After that we went to Buckingham Palace. It was so huge and amazing. We went to Green Park as well. It was so big after that we got 20 minutes break and we sat together and ate and after that we walked 10 minutes and we saw Big Ben and the London Eye. We stayed 20 minutes in London Eye, it was so fantastic. We saw lots of good scenery there and also we took lots of pictures. After that went on boat and went to London Bridge . We saw the bridge opening and then we went back to train station and travelled back to Manchester. The whole day was superb.

Hello my name is Arslan Sabir. I am going to write about our trip to London. Me and my class visited central London with our teachers. We went to London on 6 June 2013. We met at Oldham Mumps tram station. Where from we travelled to Piccadilly garden and met our teachers. Then we walked to Piccadilly train station. We travelled by train to London. We get in train at 9.45 am. We left Manchester at 9.55am. On the train we had chat with each other. We arrived in London Euston train station. Then we get London underground to Green Park which is next to Buckingham Palace. We took pictures of the outside of Palace. Then we had lunch break. After that we walked to London eye on the way of London eye we saw Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. We went on to London eye, which was my dream to go on. After that we get a boat to London bridge. We saw lots of different places while we were on boat. We saw London bridge opening. We took some pictures. At the time we all were tired. Then we walked to underground station. We got train to Euston square. Then we walked to London Euston train station . We got train back to Manchester at half 6. We arrived in Manchester at half 9. It was enjoyable day for all of us. We were the best group in ESOL BRIDGING and also the highest this year. We all completed Entry 3 Writing and Reading, Level 1 Speaking and Listening. Bazil, Jack and Wajahat did Level 1 Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening. We also did our Maths L1 exam and all passed. Compiled by Wajahat.

Well done, Group G! Youve worked so hard this year and achieved so much as well as having lots of fun! All of us have really enjoyed working with you and youve been a pleasure to teach. Were very impressed by the courses you will be doing next year and were sure that you will do fantastically well. Hello my name is Daniah. I'm going to talk about Blackpool trip we went to Blackpool on 19 of June 2013. We went to Pleasure Beach and we went to the rides . We walked around the beach and some of my friends swum on the beach. We stayed there for about 5 hours and the college paid for the trip. We enjoyed the time and the weather was sunny.
