By recycling magazines, we can conserve countless resources, and prepare our world for
a better tomorrow. It is quite common to think magazines cannot be recycled, as only 20
percent of magazines are recycled at home; however, this type of paper does not
desecrate your collection of recyclable materials. Although new magazines cannot be
made from old magazines, newspaper, tissue, writing paper, and paperboard can all be
made from recycled magazines. 60 percent of the energy needed to make new paper is
saved by recycling your periodicals. Help conserve our planet’s finite forests by reducing,
reusing, and recycling your magazines.
