Installing ABAQUS 6.6.3 A) INSTALLING LICENCE SERVER. 1) 2) 4) 3) Double click on setup.exe (this will start installation of ABAQUS6.6.

3) Choose 'licence' when asked for choice between Licence and Product. Choose "Just install the licensing utilities" After istallation it will asked for installation of product. ---Choose 'no' to exit installation wizard without installing product. 5)Go to Drive where Abaqus licence is installed and open the licence folder. a)Put abaqus66.dat (in ma to inst_drive:\ABAQUS\License\)[just copy and paste] ----Abaqus66.dat is in MAGNiTUDE Folder. b)Use 'lmtools.exe' to setup ABAQUS licensing service by double clicking on it b1) click on "Config Services" tab b11) Service name - "ABAQUS License Service" (e.g.).(Jus t write it) b12) Path to lmgrd.exe - "inst_drive:\ABAQUS\License\lmg rd.exe"(show this path) b13) Path to the lic. file - "inst_drive:\ABAQUS\License \abaqus66.dat"(show this path) b14) Path to the debug log file - "inst_drive:\ABAQUS\Li cense\abaqus.log" (copy the statement inside inverted commas and replace inst_dr ive by the name of drive where it is installed (eg c,d etc) and paste it in the provided place) b15) Check "Use Services" ba6) Check "Start Server at Power Up" b2)Click on "Start/Stop/Reread" tab b21) Accept the change if any massage displays by pressi ng YES tab. b22) click on "start server" tab. (at bottom it should d isplay 'server start successfully') c) Close 'lmtools.exe' and exit from the installation drive. B) INSTALLING ABAQUS6.6.3 FINAL PRODUCT 1) Double click in the setup.exe(this will start installation of ABAQUS6.6.3) 2) Choose 'Product' this time when asked for choice between Licence and Product. 3) enter 27000@your_host_name when asked for licence server(Required) and leave ather (optional licence) field blank and press next. 4) Enter @your_host_name in the next dialouge box in the blank space (see cursor '|') below the error massage. 5) Just press 'yes' and 'next' in all the dialogue box that comes 6) Press 'DONE' in the last Dialogue box. The installation is complete now. and enjoy working on ABAQUS6.6.3
