To collect information about the market share of different brands of cements in Ernakulum district. To identify the approach and perception of dealers & sub-dealers towards different brands of cement in Ernakulum district To analyze the market potential of Ernakulum with respect to cement industry.
TARGET VS ACHIEVEMENT
Visited and contacted 100 dealers and subdealers in different clusters within Ernakulum. This contributes only 20% of the total market. Unavailability of the proper contact person and less number of internship period affected the reach to the dealers. SUMMER INTERNSHIP-CHETTINAD CEMENTS
FINDINGS
In Ernakulum large number of brands are available and there is competition among them. Chettinad cements has got a comparatively good market share followed by ACC and coromondel Dealers mainly looks into the profit margin and the availability. As there is construction everywhere in Ernakulum the demand for cement is very much high. Most of the dealers have large stock within their warehouse in order to meet the demand
