REFLECTION PAPER

The story The Count of Monte Cristo is about the man named Edmond Dantes that later became the Count of Monte Cristo who takes revenge on the men responsible for his unjust imprisonment: Fernand who became Mercedes Husband, Danglars and Villefort. If I relate it in our society today, I can say that any person takes the same destiny as Edmond will also make his revenge. Maybe its normal to a person who suffered unjust imprisonment in 11 years do such thing. In the story, I also realized the importance of being educated. If Edmond was educated, maybe he will figure out that he will be betrayed. In our society today, most of the people suffer injustice are those who have not educated. Those people cant fight for their rights because they dont have enough knowledge to do it. And lastly in the story I realized that who ever suffer injustice, God always give Justice to Them. Like Edmond, even he suffered unjust imprisonment and later lost his faith in God, he still receive the justice for him. He met the priest who gave him the Education, knowledge in weaponry and lastly the reason why he became the Count of Monte Cristo. This story proves that God always help, guide, and gives what you deserved.
