Quality of Work Life (QWL) is a concept that refers to several aspects of the job, including:
Management
and supervisory style. Freedom and autonomy to make decisions on the job. Satisfactory physical surroundings. Job safety. Satisfactory working hours. Meaningful tasks.
The job and work environment should be structured to meet as many workers need as possible
65% of workers said that workplace stress had caused difficulties. 10% said they work in an atmosphere where physical violence has occurred because of job stress. 29% have shout loudly at co-workers because of workplace stress. 14% said they work where machinery or equipment has been damaged because of workplace anger. 2% admitted that they had actually personally struck someone. 19% had quit a previous position because of job stress. t 3, Lecture 5: Quality of Work Life 44% reported stressed-out eyes and 12% had called sick.
