Opaque projector

Before there were document cameras, there were opaque projectors. This machine is used to project paper images onto a projection screen.

This unit is used to project 35mm slides on a projection screen or white wall. Projected image is large and bright if used in a darkened or semidarkened room. Slides are put in a slide tray (furnished) or a stack loader (special request) for projection. Unit comes with a remote control which allows slides to move forward and backward for projection.

Loading microfilm

If the fiche drawer is engaged, then disengage it by pulling the drawer towards you, sliding the drawer to the right and then pushing it away from you until it locks and the arrows match. Turn film advance knob to "Off". The knob is off when the line on it points vertically. If the film size is set to 16mm, then set the film size to 35mm. If the film threader is closed, then open the film threader. Place film spool on axle. Feed film into green threader. Feed film 3-4" past glass. Close the film threader. Press the "Load" button. The machine should then load the film. If the machine does not load the microfilm on the spool, then the film has either been threaded too far or not far enough.
