Brief Description of Evidence: I developed a Prezi that included beneficial information about autism spectrum disorder. Autism is one of many disabilities that teachers must understand to ensure inclusive learning environments. I incorporated two different videos I found on the Internet, one of which showed a perfect example of an inclusive classroom environment that meets the needs of a student with autism spectrum disorder. Analysis of What I Learned: After researching about autism spectrum disorder, I learned about the differences between a child who does and does not have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. I learned that it is important to understand the differences in every childs culture and community, to ensure inclusive environments that enable each learner to meet high standards. How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the InTASC Standard: This artifact demonstrates my competence on the INTASC standard two, because I researched specifically on the differences of individuals so that I understand how to develop an inclusive learning environment in my own classroom in the future. The list I created on one of my Prezi slides, demonstrates my knowledge of developing an inclusive learning environment, differences in cultures and communities for children who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
