Lesson Plan in Music Grade 7 I. Objectives After the lesson, students are expected to: 1.

Identify the elements of music 2. Sing a song applying the dynamics, tempo, melody and form of music 3. Express appreciation of music as important part in the lives of human beings Subject Matter TOPIC: ELEMENTS of MUSIC (tempo, dynamics, melody and form) REFERENCE: http://historyofmusic.tripod.com/id6.html Materials: LCD Projector, Guitar, Visual Aids (Copy of the Song Twinkle, Twinkle) Procedure A. Management of Learning (MOL) a. Prayer b. Putting Class into Order c. Checking of Attendance d. Reviewing of the previous lesson B. Lesson Proper a. Motivation i. HEAR IT !FEEL IT! 1. Invite the students to close their eyes and establish and quiet atmosphere. The teacher will play two different music. Have them feel the music. While listening to the music, tell the students to remember their feelings and behavior right when the music is played. b. Presentation/Discussion i. Have the students participate in the discussion of what music is and its importance to human beings. ii. Interactive discussion of the first four elements of music (melody, tempo, dynamics and form. Each element will be explained by the teacher one at a time using the song Twinkle, Twinkle. The teacher will have to model the right application of elements in the song and will ask the students to do it so. C. Generalization/Application a. What kind of music do you like to listen to? Why? Evaluation a. Assign group to the students. (At least 2 or 3) b. Have the groups perform the song assigned to them following the instruction.
