To Kill the Tracker.exe Process:

pskill -t <PID>

in our case it would be:

pskill -t 1496

To Disable the Tracker.exe Process from Starting Automatically:

NetBackup 5.x and 6.x

Within NetBackup 5.x and 6.x, the Job Tracker is no longer found in the Windows
Startup section. It must be disabled from within the registry, using the following steps:

1. From the Windows Start menu, click Start | Run

2. Run regedit
3. Browse to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ru
n key in the left hand pane of regedit
4. In the right hand pane, delete the value for VERITAS NetBackup Client Job
Tracker.
5. Close the registry editor
