Busting Tips
Anger becomes sinful when:
An individual allows it to lead to uncontrollable behavior. Uncontrollable anger or rage is
sinful.
It festers into bitterness - Prolonged unresolved anger toward another. Steps should be
taken to resolve offences with others as soon as possible, mending relationships, and
forgiving others. Go to the person who offended you, gently share what the offence was
in an attempt to reconcile with the person. Be humble and willing to apologize if you are
in the wrong.
Being hyper-sensitive, and quick tempered. Allowing little things to trigger anger. The
Bible teaches to be slow to wrath. We must exercise patience, and be willing to
understand others, instead of responding quickly in anger. Calm down, be patient, and
listen before responding
Some other practices against anger:
Maintain a godly spirit toward those would try to harm you, or who hates you, by praying
for them
Reflect on the love God showed us, even though we were all deserving of his wrath. Seek
to be merciful to others, in the manner that God showed us mercy.
If a situation occurs that really angers you, sometimes it is best to leave the area, so that
you can calm down and get control over yourself, and then resolve the issue at a later
time. In these situations you can ask God to give you the grace not to over react, and the
wisdom to handle the situation carefully.
