A. State your question- How how angle of Launch affects Flight distance
B. Make a prediction showing what you think will happen in the experiment.
If…(something happens) Then…(what is the outcome) Because…(why you think this)
- If we have the angle of the launcher lower then the rocket will fly farther because it will have
less wind resistance.

C. List 5 controlled variables.- Same rocket, Same launcher, same wind, number of wings,
amount of water,

D. List the materials needed for the experiment.- 1 liter bottle,launcher,20 ounce bottle,
cardboard and duct tape
E. Write out a step by step procedure for carrying out the experiment.
*Someone should be able to repeat your experiment from your procedure.
- First step is to create the control rocket that is listed below. Then change the angle of
the launcher to 25, 30 35, 40, 45

conclusion.
1. Does your data support your hypothesis? Why or why not? (Describe by referring to
your data! Be sure you talk about your data and graph.)- Yes it does, the lower the
angle the better.
2. What changes would you make if you did the experiment again and why? (Be specific
to the individual experiment…NOT “Be more accurate” “Do more trials”)- We should
have measured the angle of the launcher better. Or find a better way to get the angle
more exact

Control Rocket
− Wing size 10cm x 5cm
− Water in nose cone is 100 ml
− Water in body is 400 ml
− Launch angle is 30˚
− 3 wings placed equally apart
− place the wings in the middle of the 2 liter bottle
