Division: Role Title: Role Position: City Business / Events Melbourne Events Melbourne Volunteer - Melbourne Spring Fashion Week Event Assistant

Role Summary Volunteers will primarily be responsible for assisting the Event Management team with a number of event duties for the duration of MSFW13. Shifts undertaken by Event Assistant volunteers will be a minimum or three hours and a maximum of five hours in length. Volunteers undertaking these shifts should feel comfortable standing for long periods of time. Volunteers will be supervised in most cases, however should be comfortable working autonomously if required. Volunteers must report to the Volunteer Coordinator at the commencement and conclusion of each allocated shift. Below is a list of the key tasks that will be undertaken by Event Assistant volunteers. Role Tasks

Undertake specific duties as outlined by your supervisor Assist with runner duties including relaying messages to staff and volunteers Assist with set up and pack down of equipment Assist Event Management team with other duties as required

Skills, Knowledge & Experience (Selection Criteria) A keen interest in the events industry Previous volunteer experience Ability to take direction and work autonomously if required A keen attention to detail Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment Ability to communicate with people of all ages and abilities Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbournes core values - integrity, courage, respect for staff and others and striving for excellence
