PATH WAY TO SUCCESS

(MOTIVATION LESSON 1) SUCCESS MEANS The achievement of what one is trying to do in terms of dreams and vision. Education pg 262.1 Success in any line demands a definite aim. He who would achieve true success in life must keep steadily in view the aim worthy of his endeavor. Such an aim is set before the youth of today

TEN MAIN THINGS YOU MUST DO TO ACHIEVE ULTIMATE SUCCESS IN LIFE 1) A Positive Mental Attitude (P.M.A) As a man thinketh so is he- Proverbs 23:7 You are what you think. If you hamper negative thoughts in your mind your life will be negative. Nurture your mind with great thoughts for you will never go any higher than you think. Whatever the mind of man ca n conceive and believe it can achieve.

2) Big Dream Biblical Joseph had his big dream when he was very young. And the lord fulfilled his dream after many years. Dreams are the things you wish to achieve in your future life. Dreamers are great thinkers, they visualize. They see the future in the present and they see beyond the majority. They are not average thinkers. Nothing brings your way golden opportunities in life like a dream. Your dream will open great doors for you even before kings.

3) Have a Vision For Your Dream write the vision -Habakkuk 2:2-3 For things to change you must get a picture of what you want them to change to. What you see is what you get. Write down or draw a picture of what you wish to be in life and every day meditate upon that vision and you will be surprised to find yourself conformed to that picture.

4) You Must Possess a Great Desire The key what unlocks energy is desire. Your desire to do what you want should be consuming, burning and obsessive. Desire is more than want because desire says I have to have it but want you can decide to leave.

5) You Must Have Unwavering Faith and Self Belief The size of your success is determined by the size of your belief. What things so ever ye desire when ye pray believe that ye receive them and you shall have them. -Mark 11:24-34

6) Self Awareness Find yourself and be yourself majority of people realize who they are just as they are about to cross the bridge to the other side of life. The greatest achievement in life is self discovery or self knowledge.

7) You Must Effectively Manage Fear The biggest barrier that most people have to overcome on their journey to success is :i. Fear of rejection ii. Fear of change iii. Fear of failure iv. Fear of success v. Fear of confrontation vi. Fear of failure or success is one and same, both are fear of exposure, not of our strengths but of our weakness.

8) You Must Aim For Excellence Excellence means : Highest quality Superior quality Extreme quality Maximum quality Excellence is not a gift, it is an attitude generated. Excellence originates from your mind, gets translated on your speech and is demonstrated in your life. It is not imposed from outside but released from inside. Excellence people:i. Do not settle for average ii. Develop deep commitment iii. Possess ethics and integrity iv. Shows genuine respect to others v. Go for the second mile. vi. Are consistent vii. Never give up viii. Always give 100% ix. Never compare themselves with others x. Trust in God always

9) You Must Have Definite Purpose Purpose is a Hebrew word that means original intend or original reason. This day with God pg 66.2 We must consider the aim and object of life, and ever keep worthy purposes in view. Every day the thoughts should be trained and kept to the point as the compass to the pole. Everyone should have his aims and purposes, and then make every thought and action of that character to accomplish that which he purposes

Possess Divine Character

Character is power which drives you to achieve all your desired dreams in your life. Without divine character we cannot accomplish even the smallest thing we desire in life. We can build a solid divine character through:i. Studying the word of God ii. Prayer and meditation iii. Avoid evil association iv. Depart from evil v. Co- operates with thy lord in his work.

Conclusion EGH troops, we need to bear in our minds that we cannot promise to change the world, if we have not changed ourselves. How can we promise other people success in life and yet we are not successful? It is an absurd thing to think that to pursue our dreams and visions is inconsistent with our great mission of spreading the gospel. Only those who have succeeded in all aspects of life- mental, physical, social and spiritual can accomplish great work for our master.

Recommendation Messages to Young People pg 38 But do not for a moment suppose that religion will make you sad and groom and will block up the way to success. The religion of Christ does not obliterate or even weaken a single faculty. It is in no way incapacitates you for the enjoyment of any real happiness. It is not designed to lessen your interest in life or to make you indifferent to the claims of friends and society.
