The work from this assignment helped to enrich my district communications plan by providing suggestions for how to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Through research and the development of an opinion of Proposal A, I strengthened my ability to articulate ideas and debate effectively a point of view on important matters such as funding, law, and economics. The research required of this assignment allowed me to understand how schools are funded in Michigan, the adjustments to this funding over time and how changes have affected schools in the present. Upon reflection of the Teacher Tenure act I was able to analyze the old and new laws that will assist me in my evaluation of teachers when in an administrative position.
