COGNITIVE THEORY

Classical Conditioning (S - R)
Stimulus elicits a particular response.

It is reactive.
The reward is presented every time.

It deals with elicited behavior.

OPERANT CONDITIONING (R-S)

Stimulus serves as a cue for response. It is proactive. Reward is presented only for the correct response. It deals with emitted behavior.

COGNITIVE THEORY (S-S)

It refers to an individuals thoughts, knowledge, interpretation, and understanding about the environment. It states that learning involves a relationship between cognitive environmental cues and expectations. It has been widely applied to motivation theories.
