My name is Candace Brammer and I have lived in the Muncie area for 26 years.

My husband and I married in 1990 and we have three children ranging in age from college to middle school. I spent 15 years raising my children, volunteering in my childrens schools and at my church in various ways including serving on the board of education and teaching Sunday school. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing almost anything outdoors, and reading. As my youngest child entered school I returned to college to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. My early childhood work experience consists of teaching for three years at a local child care center, two of those years as the lead teacher in the prekindergarten class. I enjoyed providing a nurturing environment and offering children engaging hands on activities that allowed children opportunities for expressing themselves, testing ideas, developing knowledge and mastering concepts in a variety of ways to help prepare them for kindergarten. I believe one of the most important jobs I, as an early childhood professional, can do is to build relationships, model and use positive guidance to teach children to respect themselves, others and their environment. I look forward to continuing my education at Ball State University and working with children and families in the future, making a positive impact in their lives.
