I am somewhat confident in my abilities to understand in depth ideas and concepts. Depending on the set, I am able to find patterns and connections quickly and easily in other instances it is more difficult. I am not at all confident in tapping into the natural curiosity to drive the curriculum but I desire to learn this trait to become an effective teacher. When it comes to asking questions throughout an investigative process I am very confident because I am able to develop a broader spectrum of viewpoints. Another area of confidence is being comfortable with not knowing or not having the correct answer, I consider those times experiences for learning.

I am confident in my abilities to understand in depth ideas and concepts. The only thing that I have to learn for this process to become more open-minded and less critical of any other ideas. The reason it was more appropriate to put somewhat confident is there are area in group work that I need to have developed. Our learning is not confide to the space that we have together but also continues outside the hours of our class time. Answers will probably be answered, just not in a timely manner. This is something that I have found that I did not have an understanding before as I do now. I now understand that learning is a process that happens over time and requires patients. I am confident finding some resolution to an I-need-to-know question while aware that there is always more to be learned about the concept. I understand that an answer to a question is just a bit and little pieces of a big puzzle. To grasp a concept requires depth much deeper than a quick fix answer. 1. Attend all class sessions. Notify instructor of absence by email and take responsibility to learn about missed experiences from your group. In class credit cannot be made up. Absences may lower your final grade because class activities require participation to earn points. See syllabus.

Beginning: If you dont think you will be able to attend class on time and/or regularly, explain the difficult you foresee so we can discuss it.

I am confident and understand that I will notify my instructor of my absences by email and I will take responsibility for learn about missed experiences from my group. Until this point, I felt as though I started on the wrong foot. Being ill at the start of this class caused me to miss a day. I have not missed any other day since, and I am on time other than once. I plan ahead and believe that attendance is one of the most important aspects of course completion. It shows respect for the instructor, my classmates, and more importantly myself.

The only problem that I had with attendance this semester was the first day. I was ill. Afterwards I came to class, come hell or high water, even with strep throat.

This is one area that I need to work on the most. I am willing to try different things to learn to adjust to different environments and personalities. I feel that adjusting in this deficiency will also be useful in future endeavors.

This semester I have not had any problems with participation. Probably with the pick-in dinner for lack of funds.

I think taking constant inventory of what I am thinking and feeling is important. While thinking on these things will be rehearsing the information learned making me more prepared for quizzes and test.

While finding the balance of listening and my level of verbal participation, I have found that if I listen before I speak I could gain insight that would assist in my development of idea or could broaden the scope of my thinking.
