A SOLITARY RITE FOR THE FULL MOON Pagan Way The purpose of this rite is to worship the Lady

when no others of a like mind are around. Bathe before the rite, always remembering that the water is cleansing your soul as well as your body. Build a Circle of thirteen stones, nine feet in diameter if possible, smaller if necessary, and place an Altar a little to the north of the center. Place on the Altar images of the God and Goddess, a Cup of wine, incense and two candles. Place four other candles at the edge of the Circle at the East, South, West and North. Light the incense and Altar candles and say; My Lady of silver magick, I do build this Circle... A place sacred and apart... In Thine honor. Light the East candle and say; O Lady of laughter and cheer, The skies are Yours. May the air be clear and sweet And the clouds giving of soft rains. Light the South Candle and say; O Goddess of warmth, The seasons are Yours. May each Spring bring forth More richness of the natural world. Light the West candle and say; Lovely One, The sparkling waters are Yours. May the streams and rivers Flow pure and clear once more. Light the North candle and say; Blessed One, The earth is Yours. May it become fertile and rich And free from spoil. Return to the Altar and stand in view of the Moon if possible. Raise your arms in salute and say; My Lady of silver magick, I have built this sacred place For You and in Your Honor. I ask that Your gracious presence Be with me here. Stand with your eyes closed and meditate on Her presence. Kneel before the Altar, face the Image of the Lady, take up the Cup of wine and say; In honor of You, My Lady, Do I pour this libation And drink this toast. 1

Pour a few drops of wine before the Altar and drink. Relax, meditate, dance, sing, do magick or whatever is your inclination to honor the Goddess. When you feel that the time is right to end the ritual, put out the candles in the North, West, South and East finishing in the North. Return to the Altar, kneel and say; O Gracious and Lovely One, I thank Thee for strengthening me With Your presence. May all macick and Power be Yours. Blessed Be. Put out the Altar candles and say; The Rite is ended. *****
