I worked on the school website to get it updated for the parents and teachers to view before school starts in a few weeks. I changed some things, added things, and deleted things that are no longer relevant to the school year that is coming up. I also changed the look a little to make things different.

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and leadership from completing this field experience?

Being a Technology Instructor at Center Elementary, I am in charge of the schools website. I have the responsibility of making sure things are up to date for

the parents and the students to look at for the new school year. I love facilitating this task and being a leader for the school, parents, and staff at Center!
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Teachers, Parents, and Students need to know what is going on in the school with activities, school supply list and important information they need to know. I am able to use the website that I developed, publish and keep updated to keep parents, teachers and students updated with the latest information. The attitudes towards the website have been great. Parents, teachers and students tell me how much it has helped them in knowing the latest information for Center. They said they like going to the Calendar tab to see if any events are going on

for the week and the day ahead!

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?

This helps the school to improve because with the website we get a lot more parent involvement than we did before the updated website! I have a private counter on the website that I can access to see how many people visit our website. In the first few months of the updated website last year we had over 10,000 hits! That is how many people we are reaching with this website! This is how I access how well the website is reaching parents, students and teachers!
