Assessment Task Notice and Cover Sheet

This cover sheet will be used by all teachers when issuing assessment tasks. When the student has completed their assessment task this cover sheet must be stapled to the front and handed into the teacher. The student will receive a SUBMISSION RECEIPT.

Task description:

Students are to produce a mini Body of Work. Students are to investigate notions of identity and self-image through an appropriated self- portrait. Students are to communicate their understanding of the use of appropriation as a postmodern strategy or approach to art-making. They should use a range of materials, selective use of resources and reference artworks that demonstrate an understanding of the world and artworks in terms of their own lives and what is relevant to their lived experience. Students are to submit their mini BOW based on their own curatorial decisions and should specify how these are to be presented. This submitted mini BOW will be worth 25%.
