To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Matt Moll in his pursuit of an Administrative position with your school district. I have known Matt for eight years, and I am pleased to take this opportunity to inform you of Matts strengths and qualifications. Matt served as an assistant football coach on my staff while I was the Head Football Coach at Franklin Community High School. I have coached football for 35 years at the high school and collegiate levels, and I have had the pleasure of being a head coach for 21 years. I have had many assistant coaches over the years, but Matt is one of my personal favorites. He was loyal, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always displayed a willingness to learn and improve. Matt recently received his administrators license and aspires to become an Administrator and in my opinion, he would be an excellent choice for many reasons. First of all, Matt has been a teacher/coach and understands the needs of teachers/coaches and would be supportive of such. Secondly, he sets high standards for himself and for those under his direct supervision. He would be fair, but would hold people accountable to the highest standard of conduct and responsibility. Thirdly, Matt is not afraid of positive change. He was an innovator as a teacher/coach and was always looking for ways to do things better to obtain more effective results. Lastly, Matt has excellent communication skills. He relates well to players, coaches and parents. Matt has the ability to express his thoughts well while at the same time practicing good listening skills. All of these attributes will serve him well as an Administrator in your school. To summarize, Matt is an outstanding educator who has a great perspective of what is important in working with students, student-athletes, teachers, coaches and parents. He communicates in a manner that allows others to talk freely with him. He possesses great leadership qualities and his work ethic is exemplary. Rarely do I recommend someone without having some reservations, but with Matt there is no hesitation in doing so.
