How to evaluate educational benefits?

Surveys will be created for both staff and students. A rough draft will be created and then emailed to the tech committee members for review and editing, Some example questions discussed during the meeting are listed below. Teacher Questions: 1. How has curriculum or teaching style changed? 2. How often are the projector and/or Smartboard used at various skill levels (knowledge; understanding; application; analysis; synthesis; evaluation). Is the equipment used mainly for showing videos and images or is it used for higher skill levels? Student Questions: 1. Do you like learning with the projector/Smartboard? 2. What do you like or dislike about it? 3. Do you think it helps you understand or learn better? 4. Why or why not to question #3? 5. What are some of the advantages of learning with this equipment? 6. What are some of the disadvantages of learning with this equipment? II. State Technology Conferences Verified that all attending had their conference tickets and subs scheduled. Remaining meeting time was spent looking up conference sessions. III. Other Items? Should we consider purchasing mp3 players for use with audio books for students with special needs? Karla Huwer found a website where we can download audio books for free. She said all but one book she teaches in 7th grade is free for download. IV. Next Tech Committee Meeting The next Tech Committee meeting will be Thursday, March 27th, at 3:30 in the Elementary Media Center.
