Siete Aguas, 13 de agosto de 2013 Querida Familia Misionera Verbum Dei: El Poblado de Siete Aguas ha recobrado la calma...

un grupo de personas hacen sus ejercicios espirituales de una semana, pero prcticamente todos los miembros de nuestra Familia Verbum Dei venidos de distintas partes del mundo, se han despedido ya. Despus de esos intensos das del Encuentro, y de la intenssima peregrinacin a Mallorca que realizamos un grupo ms pequeo, qu podemos decir? El Seor ha estado grande con nosotros, y estamos alegres (Salmo 126,3). El Seor ha estado verdaderamente grande: pusimos en sus manos nuestros cinco panes y nuestros dos peces, l los bendijo, y los multiplic mucho ms all de nuestras expectativas. Contbamos con pocos recursos, humanos y materiales, para la organizacin de este evento; tanto los que vinimos de fuera como los organizadores en Espaa, tuvimos que superar muchas dificultades. Quizs por eso saboreamos ms los frutos... Fue un gran encuentro familiar: la reunin de una familia numerosa, formada por gente de toda raza, lengua, pueblo y nacin (Ap 5,9); desde bebs hasta ancianos, todos convocados por el mismo ideal y compromiso de orar la Palabra de Dios y compartirla con nuestra vida y nuestra palabra. Pudimos descubrir la rica variedad de rostros que forman hoy la Familia Verbum Dei. Un grupo de nosotros, representando esa variedad, llevamos a la isla de Mallorca, que tan bien nos recib, el mensaje del fruto abundante que est dando hoy aquella semilla sembrada hace cincuenta aos en su tierra frtil. Durante la peregrinacin, los imprevistos y los contratiempos nos entrenaron para vivir con nimo, solidaridad y esperanza las contrariedades de la vida. La visita, aunque haya sido con tan poco tiempo, a la cuna del Verbum Dei, y el testimonio vivo de las misioneras mayores, renov en nosotros el deseo de decir S a los proyectos de Dios, as como lo hizo aquel Jaime Bonet de catorce aos, sin imaginarse que gracias a su s, llegara a nosotros, Familia misionera VD, el don de este carisma. A todos, Jess nos renov el llamado a seguirlo y a tratar cada da de vivir como l vivi (1 Jn 1,6), para despus dar razn de nuestra esperanza (1 Pe 3,15), pues vivir el Evangelio y convivirlo, participar de l y compartirlo y llegar a la ms ntima unin con Jess y comunin con los hermanos, es condicin de vida y perfeccin para todos (Breve Ideario 1). Gracias, muchas gracias, a todos los organizadores y a todos los que de distintas maneras pusieron su granito de arena para que todo esto se pudiera realizar; gracias a los que pudieron estar presencialmente en Espaa; gracias a todos los que siguieron el evento a travs de internet y compartieron desde sus casas nuestra alegra. Gracias a Jaime Bonet, que sigue diciendo s a Dios, ahora casi sin palabras. Y gracias a la Trinidad, nuestra Familia primera, y a Mara, Madre de Dios y Madre nuestra. Ponemos en sus manos este camino que continuamos recorriendo. Les pido a Ellos que nos regalen compartamos con todos los pueblos. Dear Verbum Dei Missionary Family, The Poblado of Siete Aguas is now calm... a group of people are doing a week of Spiritual Exercises, but practically all the members of our VD Family who came here from the different parts of the world, have already said good bye. After these intense days of Encounter and even more intense pilgrimage to Mallorca, that a smaller group took part in, what can we say? The Lord has done marvels for us, and we rejoice (Psalm 126, 3). The Lord really has done marvels: we placed in His hands our five bread and two fish, He blessed them, and multiplied them much beyond our expectations. We counted on very little human and material resources for the organization of this event; both those who came from afar and the organizers in Spain had to overcome plenty of difficulties. Maybe that is why we enjoy the fruits so much... It was a big family meeting: the meeting of a large family, composed of persons of every race, language, people and nation (Rev 5,9); from babies to old people, all of us gathered by the same ideal and commitment or praying the Word of God and sharing it with through our life and our word. We could discover the rich variety of faces who form today the Verbum Dei Family. The Island of Mallorca gave a warm welcome to the group that, representing that variety, brought the message of the abundant fruit that the seed sowed fifty years ago in its fertile land is bearing today. The unexpected hitches and setbacks during the pilgrimage were training in living with solidarity, optimism and hope the challenges of life. Although the visit to the cradle of Verbum Dei was brief the living testimony of the older missionaries renewed in us the desire to say YES to the projects of God, as the fourteen year old Jaime did, never imagining that thanks to his yes the gift to this Charism would reach us, the Verbum Dei Missionary Family. Jesus renewed in each of us the call to follow him and to seek each day to live as he lived (1 Jn 1, 6), so that we can then give the reason of our hope (1 Peter 3; 15): to live the Gospel, each one and together, to take part in it and pass it on, is the condition of life and for all (BI 1). Thanks very much to all the organisers and all those who in so many different ways did their bit so that all this could happen; thanks to those who could be present in Spain; thanks to those who followed the event online and shared at home our joy. Thanks to Jaime Bonet, who continues to say yes to God, now almost without words. And thanks to the Trinity, our first family, and Mary, Mother of God and our Mother. We put in their hands our continuing journey and we ask them to give us a humble daily conversion to the Gospel, so that between us all we can make the Kingdom of God present and share it with all nations.
