Group Facebook Feed 24/07/13 (Laura) Hey guys! Im pretty sick today so I dont reckon Ill make it down to class. Could someone grab me any paper or whatever and let me know what happens? Thanks (Tom) Yeah sure too easy. Did a life raft survival thing. We have to do a code of conduct to do for the beginning of next weeks session (Eduardo) sorry couldnt go, can someone explain to me what the project is gonna be about? (Laura) Thanks Tom! Ive got nothing yet. Eduardo we have to design something that improves the quality of life. (Laura) sweet they were just some ideas! o trying to get a google account going now Meeting 3 31/07/13 Present Andrew Gardner Peter Whitley Thomas Andrews Laura Edwards Eduardo Garza Brenton Lester Abby Lin Longxing Lin New team members introduced Team building exercise Code of conduct printed o All group members signed the code of conduct Group project ideas discussed o iPhone application various topics o iPhone case various uses o Changing an already existing item to improve it various ideas o Preliminary designs suggested drafts and drawings produced iPhone case with inbuilt speaker suggested by Eduardo o iPhone case with inbuilt speaker unanimously seconded Group decided to drive to tip shop to search for old speakers o Andrew and Tom drove At tip shop items were bought o Laptop with seemingly suitable speaker o Three old mobile phones o House phone for speaker in ear piece o Computer speaker Laptop, speakers and phones were taken apart for speakers o Five basic speakers were obtained o Many circuit components were also obtained which will be used in amplifier circuit Capacitors Resistors Next team meeting was decided on Wed 31/07/13 o On agenda is to make a circuit for the audio amplifier

Group Facebook Feed 05/08/13 (Andrew) Hi everyone I have found a few issues with the website: o Don't know why the whole thing is in another language - this may just be for me, I'm not sure o I can't figure out how to do people bios or whatever we're supposed to do o Has anyone got any ideas? (Brenton) Not as yet, I'll jump on this evening and get back to everyone. (Laura) Well do we have to use the google one? Because there's a really good website creator called weebly that I've use before and it's free and very easy to use. I'll have a look at this one when I get home though (Andrew) That sounds better, I have no idea what I'm doing... (Brenton) I'll flick Dave wood a message if someone hasn't already? To ask if we can use "weebly" (Laura) http://team3projectmanagement.weebly.com/ o heres an example one on weebly I just spent 15 minutes on o if you want to have a play around with it the login is team3utas@gmail.com and password is project3 (Brenton) i emailed him so see what happens. I'm playing on google sites atm, see what andrew means. (Laura) Yeah I had a look at the google one but it just looks so much harder to use. Log on to weebly and have a play around with the example one I just did (Brenton) righto will do Facebook Group Feed 06/08/13 (Brenton) Hey guys, if anyone has a soldering iron could you bring it tomorrow morning? Also soft solder. Hopefully we can get some construction on the go. Otherwise we might be able to try get into the electronics labs and use there equipment. (Peter) Sure I can bring the soldering iron etc. Do we need other tools? (Andrew) I can bring screwdrivers as we sorely missed them last week if necessary? (Brenton) Yeah I reckon, any tools that you guys think would be relevant. Meeting 4 07/08/2013 Present Andrew Gardner Peter Whitley Thomas Andrews Laura Edwards Eduardo Garza Brenton Lester Abby Lin Longxing Lin Andrew and Brenton found a circuit schematic for an audio amplifier o This was used as a first trial circuit o Talked to electronics lab workers in relation to finding components to verify that the circuit is successful

o Used power source from electronics lab, audible sound was created using circuit o This circuit was decided on to be the final design o Andrew, Tom and Brenton purchased all components (from Jaycar) that were not found in the laptop and speakers bought from tip shop This included a board, an op amp and an audio jack Other group members designed the group website o Different sites were suggested google and weebly o Laura suggested weebly as she is experienced in using it Peter seconded the choice o Team members contributed to the website o All basic components of website were created Next team meeting was decided on Wed 14/08/13

Group Facebook Feed 07/08/13 (Andrew) I was going to chuck my photos up from what we did today, and put up a profile pic, but I don't think I can edit the website? Not sure if we can change this if anyone knows, Laura Edwards (Laura) yeah yeah the login is team3utas@gmail.com and password is project 3 and then you just have to click on edit and not on the hyperlink for the website. That help? (Andrew) Yeah that's good, I'm doing it now.. (Laura) Yes Ive seen (Andrew) Like the motto? I thought it was appropriate (Laura) Yeah it's cool! I'm also thinking although I like the design ( Thomas Andrews ) perhaps we should throw some colour in, as I remembered he was talking in one lecture about how colour is important? (Tom) Yeah sounds good. I'll think of some ideas before work and see if I can implement them when I get home Meeting 5 14/08/13 Present Andrew Gardner Peter Whitley Thomas Andrews Laura Edwards Eduardo Garza Brenton Lester Abby Lin Longxing Lin Laura, Tom, Peter, Abby, Longxing, Eduardo and Andrew were assigned to website completion o Tom was assigned to set up project 1 information o Laura was assigned to complete the rest of the website o Peter, Abby and Longxing were assigned to scan all concept sketches and design ideas and submit them to website o Eduardo was assigned to the introduction of project 1 o Andrew was assigned to submitting all minutes he has taken Brenton, Tom were assigned to soldering the circuit together. Website was completed o Introduction to team work and background was uploaded o Meeting notes were uploaded in complete form o Concept sketches were uploaded

o Group processes were uploaded o Belbins Self Assessment of team members was uploaded Team presentation for next week was organised Next team meeting was to be announced on Facebook group
