Short View: Main Foreign Policies Priority For The United States of America Kimkhorn LONG, MA.

IRs, PUC, 61283, Cambodia August 14, 2013 Through the history of US until the 21st century between Republican and Democrat, at least there are seven main foreign policies priority for the US. Firstly, George H. W. Bush used to criticize Clinton administration on why Clinton seems to focus on China and Russia but later on when Bush elected as President of the US, he seem to understand that there are very important strategic role and relationship between China and Russia with the Washington D.C. Secondly, US focus on the military expanse then international NGOs, democratization, human rights affairs because half of Pentagon paycheck and 2/3 of US goods and services spending is for the military and security. Thirdly, US focuses on missile defense especially the ABM (Anti-Ballistic Missile), START I &II (Strategic Arms Reduce Treaty), and SALT I &II (Strategic Arms Limit Treaty) with the Russia to have mutual assured destruction (MAD) including scientific research to prevent the ABC (Atomic, Bacteria/ Biological, Chemical). Fourthly, US focuses on UN even though US has success in consensus negotiation to create International Criminal Court (ICC) but US is only one among the seven countries which not sign the ICC Initiative because US fears of charge against US which involved in war crime, crime against humanity, and genocidal. Fifthly, US focuses on EU (European Union) on various fields such as Trade Round Summit (Ex. Doha Round I &II), against human being and drug trafficking, counter terrorist, etc. Sixthly, US prioritizes its relationship with East Asia through East Asia Summit to set up military bases in some Asia Pacific countries like Philippines and Japan in order to contain China, secure trade maritime navigation and protect national security because US used to experience Pearl Harbor Attack from the Asia Pacific country Japan. Seventhly, US focus on Latin America (West Hemisphere) to stop and liberate those countries from the communist influences and domination. -END-
