Grade G

Grade E

Grade E cont.
- Use map scales to find distance. - Read from conversion graphs for negative values. - Interpret distance-time graphs. - Write an expression from a problem.

Grade D cont.
- Draw lines such as y = 2x+3. - Calculate surface area of prisms and cylinders. - Solve an equation such as 3x-4 = 5+x or 2(5x+1) = 28 - Describe rotations and reflections about the origin. - Reflect shapes in lines like x=2 , y=-1 etc . - Compare the area of an enlarged shape with the original shape. - Enlarge a shape by a positive scale factor from a given centre. - Calculate average speeds from distance-time graphs over hours. - Find solutions to problems by forming equations and solving it. - Substitute numbers into formulae such as c =[(A+1)D ] / 9. - Draw a quadrilateral such as a kite or parallelogram .

- Recognise the nets of 3D shapes.


- Solving graphs problems such as where y = x + 2 and y = 1 cross. - Draw graphs of simple quadratic functions e.g. y=3x^2, y = x^2+4 - Use Pythagoras Theorem to find the hypotenuse.

Grade C cont.
- Apply and use density. - Change the subject of a formula. - Construct a perpendicular bisector with compasses. - Bisect an angle with compasses.

- Recognise equations of straight line graphs and find their gradients.


- Use Pythagoras Theorem to calculate shorter sides. - Draw graphs of harder quadratic functions e.g. y = x^2 2x + 1. Find points of intersections and approximate solutions. - Construct accurate loci for different problems.
