Why is it important for me, as a student, to learn Spanish? What kind of knowledge do I need to learn Spanish? When and where can I use the things I learn in this class? How can I apply the skills I already have in Spanish? How can I know how much Spanish I know already? What new concepts, skills and vocabulary I am going to learn? How can I organize the things I learn in Spanish? What important phrases and words do I need to continue my Spanish learning? What is the correct way to address people in Spanish Language? Am I introducing myself, greeting and using farewells in an appropriate way? To review the skills and concepts acquired in the past years. To receive an introduction and reflect on the importance of the knowledge of a foreign language. To organize the learning process and structure of the Spanish Class To use the skills learned last year and apply it to this years learning process.

Students will reflect on the importance of knowing a FL. Theyll review the skills and concepts learned in previous years and apply them to the current school year. Students will listen, read and interpret information about the Spanish Language and Spanish Language Countries. Theyll listen and work with classroom related vocabulary and phrases. Students will use their skills to introduce themselves, talk about their likes and dislikes. Write about the importance of Spanish Language and the HHM.

Pray in Spanish Watch videos of Spanish Speakers Listen to information about Spanish Language. Do research about the Hispanic Heritage Month and important people who are have an Hispanic heritage. Write in the Classroom Journal. Do a research of important things happening in the Spanish Speaking World.

Interpretive

Presentational
Use and practice Introductions, greetings and farewells. Use adjectives in games and to describe people and their interests. Use alphabet, numbers and time related vocabulary to spell and write the date and the time of the day. Present to the class a description of themselves and the things they like. Exprsate A Workbook activities.

Spanish Language Presentation and notes. Writing list of Spanish Speaking Countries. Locate them in a map and write about mayor cities and traditions. Reviewing previous year materials. Recognize classroom materials and classroom phrases. Write about things I like and dont. Write a description of themselves.

Other Learning Activities

Use smart board for games and activites about the time, adjectives and classroom vocabulary. Use games online to practice how to say the time in Spanish. Memory game to practice countries and their capitals.
