DISTANCE EDUCATION There are many kinds of education; one of them is distance education where students only have

to be physically present during their exams, and in some institutes students dont even have to be present in their exams because they take it by the internet. This type of education has created a lot of discussions. As a result, some people feel that distance education shouldnt exist ; however, it is thought to be essential for modern education by others. Opponents of distance education think that to have a good education is totally necessary to be in a classroom; otherwise, you cant learn from the experience of the teacher. In fact, distance education promotes to read only books to pass a course, which results in a situation where students are not prepare for real world. In addition, opponents state that an average student needs education in classroom because according to Dr. Perez, students whose learning skills are in the average need to be present in a lesson to understand it completely (modern education). It is totally evident that the arguments against distance education are not applied for our actual age because of technology. First, distance education use tools as the internet and video chat to make a lesson more interactive and to transmit the experience of the teacher to the student; In fact this argument also resolves the problem of an average student. In conclusion, technology resolves the defects of distance education. Nowadays, distance education is essential for our globalized world for two important reasons. First of all, people need to be more and more prepared for our actual situation, which requires a lot of preparation to be successful. Consequently, people need to study while they are also working, and the only way to achieve this is in a context where distance education exists. Second, it helps to reduce the poverty in the world by reducing the ignorance, whose consequences affects the development of the countries. Dr. Juan Gonzales, whom is a specialist in the topic, stated that the distance education would be the savior of our future. (Distance education Pg. 59)

To sum up, education is needed for the countries development and for the peoples success. It is important to realize that without technology this cant be possible, and that distance education is the future of education.
