1. Develop your attitude

You have valuable experience to share. Dont by shy or timid. You must be humble but not holding back.

2. Be an impeccable example
Its a question of credibility. The saying Do what I say, not what I do doesnt work here.

3. Be there for the other

Fully committed to serve the other for what s/he needs and what will make a difference for him/her. Leave your ego at home !

4. Slow down
That will demonstrate a confident attitude (which inspires) and will give you time to think and say the right thing.

5. Raise the bar constantly

The more experienced and confident you are, the more precise and appropriate path you will offer.

6. Dont be intimidated
S/He will be well trained in some areas but you are adequate for coaching and that is what you offer.

7. Keep you feet on the ground

Some clients will try to diminish what you offer to them. You are valuable and dont let them put you down.

8. Acknowledge your mistakes

If you gave an advice that led to disaster, be ready to pull the client out of any situation where you helped them get into.

9. Make the difference

Give clear and precise advice but dont be offended if a client doesnt apply them. Being resentful because s/he didnt use your way of doing things makes you a naive person You can preach but the other person must want to learn.

10.

Stay objective

Even if you invest yourself deeply in the cause of your client, you must stay impartial. You will offer better directions and be a better coach if you stay objective.
