Instrumentation and Control is the branch of engineering that deals with measurement and control.

What is PLC?

It is an industrial control device, designed specically for controlling machines and processes. It uses a programmable memory to store instructions and execute specic functions that include on/o control. timing. counting. sequencing. arithmetic, and data handling.

It reads all eld input devices via the input interfaces It executes the user program stored in program memory, then based on whatever control scheme has been programmed by the user, turn the eld output devices on or o, or perform whatever control is necessary for the process application

Ladder Logic

Ladder diagrams are specialized schematics commonly used to document industrial control logic systems. They are called ladder diagrams because they resemble a ladder, with two vertical rails (supply power) and as many rungs (horizontal lines).
